Hey
Today
I’m going to show you guys how to create a model in milkshape and texture it and finally put it into Fps creator
You require no experience with milkshape but it is useful if you know a little about the interface
We are going to make a table for this tutorial
Required software
Fps creator
Milkshape
Entity workshop
you can download entity workshop for free from http://www.wehtam.co.uk/entityworkshop/
1. Open up milkshape

.
2. ok to make sure we are in the same thing for this tutorial we need to make sure we have the same viewports these are the 4 windows you see one should be blue and the resest grey with grids to view your viewport window types go windows in the menu bar then click show viewport caption
3. Make sure your is like mine shown with the black arrows below
Click on the box button top right corner in the model tab shown with the red arrow on the top screen shot
4. Click and drag on the left viewport like this so it looks like a thin rectangle this will be the table's top
5. Click scale near the box button then click and drag to the size you want for your table in the bottom view port
6. Now we have to create the legs click on the box button again and drag a box in the left viewport
7. if it appears like mine than click the scale button click and drag in the bottom viewport so it looks like a table leg
8. now click move and click and drag so it reaches the corner of the table
9.Ok make sure the leg is selected (if its not than go to the select button then at the bottom select group and click and drag it over a bit of the leg it should turn red)
Now press ctrl + D on your keyboard
10.click the move button on the model tab and click on the selected leg and drag there should be two legs now, move it over to the next corner of the table
11. Repeat steps 9 And 10 Do it for each corner your table should look something like this
Now we have finished modelling our model it’s time to export it
12. in the menu bar click file – export – then click “Direct X (JT)”
Save it in your folders like normal
it should now come up with a dialog like the one below much sure your settings are the same
13. Press ok
14. Open up entity workshop
15. Click on the blue folder button which is located at the left bottom corner
16. Navigate to where you saved your table and open it
17. Click on the button that looks like a person just above the hammer button
This will show a man type figure this is how big it is compare to characters in your game
If you don’t like the size of your table change it by press the buttons that that have x,y,z with the up and down arrows
X= length
Y= Height
Z= width
The arrows on the button represent increase and decrease
Increase = up arrow
Decrease= down arrow
Simple
18. Once you’re got the size you want it’s time to add a texture click on the button with the paint roller on it
You can use any texture you want but I’m going to use one of the textures I got from the free texture site http://www.cgtextures.com/
Under wood
19.Once your textured your model its time to save it click on the save button
Name it then press enter it will come up with a dialog press on box collision
The different between the two is
polygon collision is that you can collide with every polygon more fps decrease, with box collision it will draw a invisible box around the model, and that will be you colliding object more fps increase (thanks red eye)
20.ok now it time open up fps creator add a room than click on add the entity than now find entity workshop click on it your table should be there (if not go to your entity workshop directory and double click config enter your fpsc directory there and save your model again )
Import your model than add a start marker and click test game
There you go your model, the texture isn’t great if you were making this model for a game you would spent more time but for now its ok for now I recommend that every beginner should read some tutorials on using milkshape
I hope you enjoyed my tutorial and it was helpful
Thank you
