Hi,
I understand that the script posted in first page of Ply's mod topic doesn't work anymore and I remember ply saying that.. so I tried to make my own and it's working very fine except for a couple of problems..

First I was using a tank as a normal entity, the MOVEFORE command didn't work so I changed it to character by only adding (ischaracter = 1) to the tank's script and here's wut happens.. the MOVEFORE worked but two more problems appeared

- The tank is half way to the ground when I enter, it's fine when I'm outside of it
- The Tank has footsteps I tried setting the soundset to null (soundset = ) still nthn

how can these be solved?

Thank You

Try putting a zero instead of nothing although I don't know why what you've already done isn't working. If all else fails you could possibly try making a soundset file with no sounds in it and point to that file in the fpi. Let me know if either of those work.

Look for me on CoD4 online for PC. My username's Arbiquator (strange I know but it's the first thing that came to mind)

tried both didn't work...

anyway I think the problem isn't in the soundset since the footsteps sounds are related to the ground material not the character.. am starting to think it's not even possible I wish Ply could see this and tell if he had the same problem before..

Thank You..

Ahh I forgot about the material footfall sounds there. Well good luck on getting this straightened out.

Yes, I did have the same "problem". Although, what did you expect a character to sound like when they walked?

I suppose your best bet to get rid of them would be to change the material identifier of the segment from within it's FPS file. Change it to 0 and there shouldn't be anymore footstep sounds. Then again, your character won't have any footstep sounds ont hat segment either.
