Hello, I want to start 3d modeling but I don't have a lot of cash at hand. What I was going to do was make it in Anim8or then buy FPSC Toolbox and import them there and then export them and then they would be FPSC ready.

But after reading a lot of post I was hoping that someone here would have better knowledge of a better 3d modeling program that is cheap (prefer free)and has an easy User Interface.

PS. Do not post blender, I can not work with that program.

That's not good...

Here is a small list of 3D Applications:

3D Applications

You should note that Blender's interface is drastically changing with the latest release (2.5); bringing it in line with most of the mainstream apps out there.

Here is a small list of 2D Applications (when you're ready to texture):

Yes I know of Anim8or, I work with it a lot, And I have entity maker, but with EM (i know this will sound stupid) it's just too simple that somtimes I get confused.

Yeah I just went to their site and saw that 2.5 wasn't released yet.

Here's a video showing what Blender's new interface will look like; reminds me of XSI a bit:

Sexy UI. Are they ever gonna make a better UV mapper? The built-in one is really bad, one that was a bit better than MAX's would be awesome.

Actually from what i have heard of the studio near by my house of the Blender Insitutue, their UVMapper is pretty simple and very effective. I have used it, and really liked it. Though now i only use 3dsmax, as that is one of the bests. And I think you should think twice when asking for a bit better one then Max´s as Max costs 2000+ dollars, and Blender is free.

3DS Max is for me the king of all 3d modeling packages.
