I am working on a game called revelation. I will make the story and graphics to be like Doom 3, but with a twist. I will post pics of the forst prototype map later but here is the titlescreen just to get a feel for what it is like. I also plan to make it a horror game. Not just any horror game, but the "crap yourself scary" horror game. Anyway, like I said, heres the titlescreen:

This game will be a commercial game. I still have not decided on the price but I am thinking it will be 15-30$.

Screen one is really good. Try turning your ambiance level down, and adding a light source. Nice loading screens and menu.

The ambient light is at about 15, but I don't think I should make it zero because it would be too dark...

But it would be more scary that way.

I agree.

Anyway, the first screen looks really good. So do the others, but the first is best, I think.

My username is finnish, and it translated to english is: "CrazyIdiot" or something.

Nah, thinking is very important. XD

Typos and bad jokes aside, I would make it 0 ambiance, and increase the range of your lights by 25-75. That will give you the best results.

Earlier today I was trying to make some new segments for level 1, but when I applied the textures, they were too big. The textures were 512 by 512. Doesn't X10 haveto be High res? This is really slowing me down. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure what you're problem is. I've never used the segment editor. I just make the texture and change a .fpi file around so it uses the default mesh and points to my texture.

Im sorry for the long wait you guys, I have been having problems with my computer lately and it has been annoying, stubborn, and it is just bogging me down a lot. I have also been designing a lot of the graphics lately, so I will post some screenies of crosshairs and stuff.

PS. Sorry to bump the topic...

Okeay everyone, things are starting to run more smoothly now. Expect a new prototype in about 5-6 days. in the meantime, I'll follow up on some more graphics.

Also I will post the story once level one is up. And once level one is up, The process of creating other levels will be faster.

Ill try and work as fast as I can everybody. I don't want to tire myself out. There will be a lot of custom stuff in the game, so it may be a little longer to produce the prototype. I should stop making crazy deadlines for my self so much...

Ill post some more HUDS and stuff though.

Okay I know everyone is waiting, so I will post the story.

" The year is 3061.M3

---Audio log of Seargent Wilson---

Strange things have been going on in Nova Corp.'s project 'Hell'.
We've had successful teleports to the unknown universe. We've also had a record number of workers hearing voices and witnessing other paranormal phenomena all around the facility... One recent patient was working in the cooling fans in the underground level and just went insane... He fell and got...well...diced. We dragged him (or what was left of him) to the Biological Research Division and examined the corpse. His blood was burning hot... and his tissue... oh. All black. But what was the most interesting find...was that there were wierd inscriptions and even pentagrams etched into the flesh about 3 hours after the autopsy began. I don't know how this could have possibly happened... Unless... I have a feeling that this "supervirus" has some sort of connection with the teleportation experiments! Wait... what was that? Oh my god...! He's transformi---shhhhhhhh

End Of Log.

I think what me means is, a fairly nice story (not the generic kind), but it's hard to make 40 levels out of that. But we'll see, who knows?

So. Look at some other games made for windows vista. Dow 2, Crysis, Grand theft auto, all sold millions of copies. Besides, I still enjoy trying to make the game.

Well, those also work on xp, but they utilize x10 in a way that just cannot be achieved with x9. They are also many people here who don't own or use x10, but still can play its games.
