Ok, I tried my hand at modelling again, namely gun modelling. My initial intentions were to start making my own fully functional guns for my games, but my first attempts at modelling made completing the rest of the processes seem like a waste of time (texturing, animating, rigging, etc...).

So, I started out with this:

And after a while I ended up with something I deem presentable (Sig Sauer P226):

Its still a W.I.P but I'll keep this thread updated, and try to finish off a sample to download soon.

I'm also going to upload my meshes here in OBJ format, for those who might want to use them.

Oh, and if anyone has any guns they'd like me to try and model, give a hint...

Thanks for Lookin,
JRH

Looks good, maybe try to add more detail for the sides, at the moment it is what people call a "cardboard cutout" meaning the model is flat, i would thin the handle off for a start keep it up.

PS You need an in game fpsc or it will be moved to 3d chat

Ok, thanks for the hints. I'll adjust it when I get the chance. I'm struggling to get things right along the Z axis, since I have only a side on reference picture.

I was going to post it in the 3d chat section, but then I reconsidered 'naw, its called First Person Shooter Creator'.

Anyway, I managed to get this (its not a hand-grenade-launcher):

Its my Walther P99, that I tried rigging, just to see what happens. Got nothing but trouble.
