Worked on the first two levels already, will be a ten level game, necromancer at the top, full of zombies, etc. Uses the new medieval weapons pack so the crossbow, swords, etc. are quite quick in their response times.

The objective is to kill the bad guy, obviously, and rescue your beloved who is locked in a room on the top level of the tower. Pretty straightforward, but I intend to make it a fun, but linear, process.

This has been a work in process, and I'm putting some quality time in for some polish. Projected to be finished in the next month, maybe two months. Will be posting screenshot updates of new levels as they become available. Ciao.

It looks very nice, tough it needs more entities.

Framerate is low?

Looks nice, but the 4 frames per second makes this the scariest horror game I've ever seen on this board

Ya, your frame rate is low. Try using Project Blue Mod. It will help a lot.

I also like the player's ability to change his gloves/armour within the 2 seconds between switching weapons. VERY realistic.

The levels are very large and empty, and the lighting doesnt come from visible sources in the outdoor section. You just have random blotches of light dotted around.

And 4fps? Blimey

...don't be shy, Aaagreen. How do you really feel?

C&C:

1. The poor framerate needs to be improved, in order for this to
garner anyone's attention.

2. Smaller, better lit areas will indeed improve the gameplay.

3. The appearance change, as the player cycles through weapons,
is distracting, amateurish, and only serves to suspend the player's
abiltiy to accept the virtual reality presented.

4. On a positive note: I like the title!

Basically what the others pointed out needs be fixed. Other than that, it seems like a pretty okay start. Will be interesting to see more.

I also like the title. Reminds me of the Magician's Tower in Final Fantasy II (the real II, not IV renamed II).

I don't mind the gloves changing!
Heck, in my fantasy demo I was working on with the magic spells, each spell had a different colored glove, so when you swapped spells it was easily recognisable which spell each hand was equipped with. I guess you could say he swapped gloves/gauntlets, each holding a different power.

I hope you continue to work on this regardless of the obvious discouragement, I think we need more fantasy based games around here. It's a good break from all the horror going around

Yeah, I noticed there's been loads of that recently.

This looks really cool so far man, hope to see more soon

On a side note, I've always wondered what the Model Pack 28 weapons were like, a demo of your game would be awesome - if you've got the time.

Keep up the good work.

-Cheers

Ich will in Beifall untergehen.
