Ridiculously long story time!

Many have heard of Nostradamus' famous prediction, that a meteor, unlike any we have seen before, would strike the earth and decimate anything and everything existing on the planet. Some cower in fear of the impending doom, while others laugh and scorn the believers.

The year is 2012: Tsunami's and storm's are increasing in occurrence and strength. The day's and nights all look the same, lit by an unnatural dusk. Weeks later, the entire earth, shudders and quakes.
A massive shape clouds the sky. The gargantuan meteor shadowed all beneath it. People immediately realize... this is it... However, many people noticed something strange about the meteor. Satellite images showed, the meteor was off course... A great many hours later, the meteor had passed. The entire world must've shook with the joyous shouts of man that day. However, their shouts of joy soon turned... The economy hit it's lowest, trillions in damages were done to all parts of the globe. Many were forced to scavenge 100's of dollars, just to feed their family that night. This was the least of their worries. The earth was becoming hotter, almost every day. Scientists noted that perhaps, the meteor had thrown earth off it's orbit, and had moved closer to the sun. Crops started to whither and die. Lakes, had started to become mere puddles. Even the great oceans had been reduced to nothing more than a large pond. Everyday was a struggle to beat the other man to food, or that small puddle in the distance. Money was gone, useless... The earth was dying. The land was lonely, empty. This is the end, this is your fight for survival. This, is Desolace...

I agree, the desolate, desert feel is just right, although the science behind the story is a bit iffy, but nevermind that...

One thing, maybe it's my imagination, but is one of those cliffs a sculpture?

If I was ever given the opportunity to remove all the bad from the world, I wouldn't, because for there to be heroism, compassion and all that is good, there must also be all that is bad.

Maybe its an easter egg by whoever made the model. Like a reference to that face on Mars!

Anyways, the science probably doesn't work out. Plus it sounds like a "stop global warming" game.

WOW, my game is almost exactly like this. Same kind of story, not quite the same environment though.

Definitely not, but when do people turn into zombies or fly into space shooting lasers at some other ships?

And no it is definitely not a stop global warming game lol

I don't think it's supposed to be 100% scientific proof, it's a videogame, where the impossible is supposed to happen. And yeah Ekipshi has a point, all the zombie plots we see in the forum aren't scientifically probable either. Not tying to start an argument, just saying, the game looks fantastic so far so we could probably cut him a little slack in the storyline department.

Can't wait to see more man.

I bet it's canabalism, it has to be...

Jokes aside, very nice. It's good to see that the entire game won't be orange. That would get boring real fast.
