To be completely honest, i've never done any modeling work, nor have i made any media (that sounds good). The only thing I can do is colour some textures around in GIMP, and make some .wav files, and when i used to own FL Studio, my music always sounded awful. I want to be able to contribute, but im not really good for much. I hate being a waste of time by asking questions and not doing anything worth while. Is there anything you got for a noob to do?

Well, like your signature says, take it in small steps. Eventually you'll be able to make something great! Plus, you're stuff may seem bad to you, but you have no idea how other people will take it. Even if it's not the best, others will always try to give constructive criticism to help you improve. Listen to others and you'll get there. Just keep practicing and look up some tutorials.

I also suggest getting into 3d modelling, making your own media for your game feels great and is really fun (for me at least).

Great to hear you want to contribute. Go ahead and put up your music.

Just take it easy and enjoy the ride.

No one will think bad of you for not contributing but if you feel you must then I suggest you nuckle down on some tutorials on the subjects you feel most confident in (practice makes perfect).

All the best of luck for the future.

I asked myself the same question but its not as hard as it sounds.

Start with simple entities like wallpapers, signs or floor overlays: postcards for the fridge, wall calendars, footprints, dropped letters, stains, the possiblities are endless. and since these are only 2-dimensional you dont need to be a modeller, there are also programms that make the technical part quite easy.

Personally I would be thankfull for more overlays (that are not made of blood)

When you make something, first post it in the relevant forum (3D Chat for models, Music and SFX for Music). There are a lot of experts that hang around there that can give you some constructive comments to help you slowly improve.

FPSCNoob, welcome to the forum.

Please take your time, enjoy yourself and don't worry about what you have to contribute. Some of the most helpful people here are those who give a kind word and moral support.

I was born in Massachusetts and raised in Rhode Island. Where are you from in Connecticut?

I was actually born in Rhode Island, and raised in Torrington, Connecticut.

Thanks for the welcome, So I guess it's safe to say my real name on this site then. As you can tell by my name, i'm an FPSCNoob, but i've worked with RPG Maker 2k3, XP, and VX in the past, so im kinda familiar with making 2D objects and items, on a 32x32 scale. Is there a specific size minimum for making FPSC Objects? And is GIMP Recommended? I have it, but not sure if its going to be much of use.

GIMP is a great tool that many people, including myself, use.
