Newcomers DBPro Corner / If i want to burn my game onto CD do i need the pictures burned to?

Basically say i have finished designing a game, if i want to burn it to CD all the images from the game, would they need to be burned onto the CD as well?

it depends. A dark basic program generally only accesses the files in its current directory unless specified. And if you compile a final exe, not a normal one, you compile all of the images into the exe. So if you compile a standard exe, you gotta burn all the media onto the disk. If you compile a final exe, you only need to burn with the exe the files that werent included in the exe(like the MatEdit matrix files.)

With DBPro there is no "final" option and the include media option is buggy, so it's best to burn everything. A program with this:



will have the following files burned to a CD:
