I've created a character in milkshape and made him fpsc ready and everything, but i was wondering if anybody could help me with the following problems:

-he is floating

-the firespot is at his knees

and the strangest of all...

-instead of the polygons at the joints warping like they should, they detach completely from each other. i will provide a screeny soon...

any help on this is much appreciated. if you like, i will provide the character with an e-mail.

so n00by it hurts...

GAH! THE PAIN!!!

Did you make sure that all your vertices were assined to a joint? You cant leave any unassigned.

In the Universe, nothing ever stays the same.

did you export like this:

or like this(this is how it should be):

if you export it with the first setting the character will be disected like that.
EDIT: also milkshape 1.8.4, 1.8.5 and v1.15 of fpsc seem to not be agreeing with each other. That would account for the floating in the air, firespot at the knees, or during the process of assigning verts you changed a joint's position.(this happens to me sometimes) I hope this helps you.
Edit#: It also looks like some of your faces are in reverse. In milkshape unclick "Draw Backfaces" to see which ones are in reverse(the ones that are black in color when using flat shader)
