If you own a copy of x10 (even if you dont have a x10 compatible PC) you can easily put the x10 exclusive characters and weapons onto x9.

(I wouldnt recomend that you buy x10 if your system cant handle it tho)

Well it's not gonna happen. The media was created specially for X10, to utilize the engine's new features. It adds another reason to purchase X10, and if they allow the media to be sold separately for X9, then X10 will have one less cool feature and they would lose sales.

To be honest, the sales will drop anyway, come migration time, at least i think so.

Bull. What the bloody hell is unique about the Chugshot? It's cool and has flashy lights, but that's it. TGC just used it as flashy cool stuff to con people into buying X10.

Off-Topic: Alt Schule, you've got the whole Yoda thing wrong in some places, and it's incredibly nerdy and annoying. Please refrain from doing it.

@Toasty, I wasn't reffering to the chugshot utilizing the engine's features. I was reffering to the high-poly characters, with normal maps and texture variation, etc...

you can use chuggun in x9. Copy chuggun's folders in the x10's folder then paste them to x9! it works! x10 characters too!

Welcome to TGC!

I'm not exactly positive, but I think the chugshot uses relief mapping. I'm not 100% sure though.

is that not on x9 because the chugshot has worked on x9.

The effect wouldn't work if it is there. That wouldn't keep the chugshot from running though, and the details on it won't be the same. The bump-effect provided by the relief map doesn't work. Since I don't know much about x9's capabilities, and the source code, it might be possible to code relief mapping in. However, it will not work out of the box. The gun will still work fine, just no effects. (once again, some on correct me if I'm wrong about this.)

So it has relief mapping. Whoop-de-doo. That doesn't make the chugshot utilise the X10 engine. Hell, you could model a turd and give it all the different maps and shaders that the chugshot has, but that doesn't make it utilise the engine, does it?

So, it's completely impossible to use normal maps and high-poly characters in X9, is it? It's also possible to use texture variation, too. It's this revolutionary thing called 'NOT BEING LAZY AND RIGHT CLICKING ON YOUR CHARACTERS'.

Sorry if I sound really pissed off, to both of the people who I replied to in my post, but I'm just trying to make a point.
