Hi

I have been programing in Dbpro for a while now, i have been using fpsc x9 but i heve never working with the source code of fpsc.
Can someone please explain how it works, is it the same type of language as dbpro? or is there something else i have to learn?
What changes can be made in the source code? can i for example change the camera view in fpsc?
or use a dbpro plugin like dark shader Is there any kind of "how to begin" guide to now were to start?

thank you for taking time!

Ughh i hate these threads....there pointless and take up space.

Anyways there is NO guide to modding FPSC and NO place on where to start.

Every mod is unique.

Everyone learns how to mod it from trial and error.

Just mess around with the source code and read through it you'll eventually learn how to mod it.

The best thing to do first tho is to download airmod .6 dev package and look through it adn try to intergrate some commands. Than you can figure out what most things in the source do. Im sure you can figure it out

@Cyclone: I do believe that THAT post u just made is a useless post. AS i do believe that SAAB Driver is a very skilled DarkBasic Pro programmer, and he just wanted to know if there was anything he should learn concerning extra dll's (/commands). Other threads that you (with reason) call useless, are made by n*obs that dont know where to start. So those are useless. Saab Driver already has a good shape of DarkBasic Pro in his hand.

Like zeza linked. That is a very good link, that was my first point when I started creating a mod.

Good luck,

Thanks Red Eye.

Cyclone its ok.

I have downloaded the fpsc source code, and upgraded fpsc to v1.15, and followed the instalation guide that were included. And as far as i understand i am supposed to run fpsc from dbpro by simply press the "Make EXE/run" button (F5) and then fpsc will start up as normal except for the changes i made in the script. Is this correct?

Cause when i press this button i a see a white background with the silvergrey "the game creators tm" -logo, at least i see the half of it fade up. Then the program just crash. Am i doing something wrong here?

thanx all. The code run is working fine exept one thing. Test game (F5) doesnt work, once i press the testgame fpsc just turn black and is crashing. After i turn of the program by ctrl?alt+delete i do can run the map by clicking the (new yellowblack dbpro style) Fpsc-Game icon (that i erlier replaced with the standard whiteblue one, acording the readme file)and everything is working fine.
But it would be a lot easier if i could use the test button in fpsc. Any ideas of this one?

Another question aswell. It seems to bee two diffreny way of coding in fpsc. Using the source code i dbpro or by using the codes within the fpsc scriptfolder. Why not just one script?

Hi Saab.

I'm having the exact issue you're having, and am currently having to work around as you are. I've been talking to Lee about the matter for several weeks. Maybe you'd like to also email him to see if we can find a solution. I know from Lee that you and I are not the only one's suffering from this issue.

All was working fine for me until I tested V116 beta and it hasn't worked correctly since (despite several reinstalls of FPSC and DBP.)

If we can't solve it, I imagine all will be fixed by the final release of the V116 source as it doesn't require a modified version of DBP.

You need to make sure that your project is set up as "hidden". If you don't then the exe will pop up as soon as you click Test Game, which it shouldn't.

That works perfectly... This has been annoying me for about 2 months on and off now. Many thanks Plystire.
