Nice retro feel to them, they kinda look like they're made with Legos though.

uhh lets see here a couple of those images look liek a ship or two off of starwars as well off of a microsoft game called freelancer i think so if you took those ones out you wouldent have a problem but if you used them commerically then microsoft might throw a fit since they look like the designs

even if you built them without even getting the idea off of microsoft or star wars they would still argue that you did...and lucas arts might have a problem with those ones too

No there are enough differences in the ship design from star wars(i havent played freelancer) so there shouldn't be any problems.

ohh yeah... they look like legos... in fact they look like you built some legos and copied them

photo enhanced image of one of this guy's ships (the first one)
Why does it look like a sh*tty digital picture to me? I didn't put the noise there, i just enhanced the res on the pic a bit, very carefully adjust levels. Any data there never changed.

wtf is wrong with you guys? Why would someone go to the effort of faking over half a dozen models? It's not like he's trying to make money out of it ...

Nice work G (can I call you g? )

well, it does kinda look like a lego model, kinda like the cockpit (or canopy) of my own lego creation, the Bow Cannon (the lego came first, then my horrific model) I'll try and get a pic.

I'm sure G Bros Software is telling the truth, I've never seen a lego model that had a anti-alising problem.

As for why someone would do it, it happens alot here in one way or another. It's the same reason people lie about thier appearance in chat rooms, to impress people.

I forget to use anti-alising when I render my objects, so they end up looking like they have been placed in a bowl of acid.

I also use the print screen to get my pictures. Well i'm going to update those pictures now.

Eh, i wasn't trying to attack you (well, yea i was, hehe) but in a joking manner. Post one of your model files in something common like LWO or 3DS format and we'll believe you ;p

i've been all day at school blowing these up..they look like lego's... and i even got out some black lego's and built them when i got home... these look like.. and apply to lego's..

Quote: "Liquidz Snake, I didn't use a camera you ass "

Then what did you use a scanner?.....haha
And yes i am an ass... i am one of the most rude people here..

Even if you did those models... it is not even a 10 minute job for each... couple boxes.. a cone or two..and a cylinder. Move um around scale them... then bam.. magic you have lego's..

another question... what's the poly count??

and as Mitch said.. lets see a LWO, or a 3ds, ms3d, or a 3do file.

Sorry but i'm not letting anyone have a copy of those models and also, i model them by drawing the faces and moving the points around and then grouping them together.

I also use a box and then select faces and click sweep.

Yes it is true i used lego but they look good.

G Bros Software, check out DoGA CGA. It is designed especially for making star ships and it has .X export. I like to use L3 since it has support for custom parts and textures.

Note: All three versions are free, you only need to register DoGA if you want to make movies. I suggest starting with L1 or L2 before moving to L3 since the docs for L3 have not been converted to English yet.

Then again, I do have an amatuer translation of the manual in progress here...
