If you want to make a minimap, then yo ucan do the following (pweudo code):
widthworld = 1000 : `x width of world
depthworld = 1000 : `z width of world
widthmap = 150
heightmap = 150 : `map is 150x150 pixels in size
enemyposx# = object position x(enemy)
enemyposz# = object position z(enemy) : `enemy position
scalex# = widthmap / widthworld
scalez# = heightmap / depthworld
enemymapx = int(enemyposx# * scalex#)
enemymapy = heightmap - int(enemyposz# * scalez#) : `since screen co-ords start at top left and 3d co-ords bottom left, we flip the Y value
you could then run that code for every enemy, getting a screen X and Y co=ordinate on which to draw a dot or whatever you want to use to indicate an enemy.
