Newcomers DBPro Corner / I'm a newcomer and an idiot, I need help with loading object

All I want to do is see a charator object on screen,but Instead
I get file name doesn't exist.
sync on
load object "ant.3ds",1
do
sync
loop
it stops at line 2 and says file doesn't exist.
I know file is there,maybe i'm not pointing to it right?
Any suggestions???

If this is DBpro then you currently cant load .3DS files you'll have to convert it to .X, if you have'nt got a modeler which does this you can download Milkshape 30 day trial then its $20.

Hope that helps,

P.S Also check the model is in the same folder as the .exe!

umm... don't you mean you can't load 3ds for Dark Basic Classic?

DBPro, im dead sure, loads .3ds files fine.
But Supermonkey is right about 1 thing. Make sure that your .exe is in the right folder, then check if the model you want to load is in the same folder as the exe. if your ants model is in a folder you might want to use the filepath "(name of folder)/ant.3ds"
