OH HOLD; TILL THE MIND TRIX COMP ENTRY IS DONE

Info:
A little side project. Wanted to make a zombie survival too! LoL.

Story:
You had a rough day at work. The work seemed to be harder than everytime else. When you come home, you are thinking, that: "When I go home, I'm going to take a long nap" You wanted to stick to it, but you didn't know that the day at work wasn't the roughest thing about the day. And the next days that are still to come...

That was a shorten version of the story. More will be added... I hope...

Gameplay:
Game is played in First Person. Every normal stuff that First Person has. The gameplay actually goes on days. Like: Level one = Day one. You can shoot the zombies on their torsos, but it will take alot of bullets. So you better shoot them in the head. That usually takes one bullet. And about your surviving. You can only take one hit and then the game is over. No re-trys. You have to start all over if you didn't save.

A little bit of HCZ:ish. I know. I just love that game!

Wow! I like the screens! Very creepy
Bit confused as to where it takes place, is the character a hermit and have a mountain house?
Anyways, looks fun, there's so many, but i still love zombie games

Thank you ekipshi! And the guy uses a shortcut. He doesen't like the noices of the city. But there was a tree fallen to a middle of the road, and his car broke down. Did you see anything funny in the last screen? There's a big mistake there! But his name could be hermit. Don't knwo yet!

EDIT* Ekipshi! I have one thing! Where did you get that store stuff from? That you have in your game? They look sweet and I could use them to make a Dawn Od The Dead gliche day. Or two. Did you make them?

I like the screens, the interiors look great! Add some more entities(grass and so) to the exteriors and it will look awesome.

I like the screens, looks great. I recommend using COZ's horror shader effects so you don't have glowing characters and doors. But great level design and nice atmopshere. I like it.

Your environment looks great!! Good blend of models and textures

But your characters don't.. the zombie on the second screen doesn't look to well modeled, and he and as well the dog on the other screen are much too bright. Maybe change the shader or the textures of them. I think the zombie might need to be fully re-done to fit the quality of the rest of your game.

No really this is outstanding! Your environments are really well done, and It doesn't really matter about the poorly modeled sin eater Why? Hey, it's a much needed break from Bond1 zombie games
Although you may want to use the horror shader fx on him though, just so he blends in better

Another thing, make those lamps actually lit

I will build a demo ASAP! And I have question. How do I get COZ's shaders to work. Is it that effect slot or something like that where I put it in? And when I get the shaders on them, they will looks mutch better! And sin eater is great! I love that model! As well as all the other he made! Sin Eater is kind of a boss in there. Demo will have 3 to 5 levels. I need to fix couple of things. The number of levels depends on how quickly do you want the demo to come out. If 3, it will be out in hours, if 5 it will be out tomorrow. (It's almost night in here. I'm going to sleep in couple of hours.)

And I just watched bunch of zombie movies today and yesterday! I watched Return of the Living Dead and Night Of The Living Dead. And Dawn Of The Dead remake. And, yes. I watched Day of the Dead. The newest one. It sucked. Bad!

Well, I've watched Diary of the Dead. It was a bit messy, but even that is excellent movie when comparing to Day of the Dead! Not a single good scene! The whole movie was so stupid! No sense at all! I actually wanted to stop watching many times! It was a survival to watch it!

What kind of things you were thinking of Ekipshi?

i've gotta say it looks awesome! i love the cages over the lights, and the outdoor scenes are awesome!

one thing i think you need to work on though is the lighting on the trees in the outdoor scenes, they look a bit to solid with the shadows.

CoffeGrunt: I think Land of the Dead was good. Not great, but it was little better than ok. So it was quite good. Could be better. But Day of the Dead, my friend. Rubbish! Watch that and you will think that Land of the Dead is a masterpiece!

of course i can. :-0

if you're in a forest in the middle of the night, you can see light filtering in from the tress, casting stick like shadows across the landscape. kinda like light going through a metal grid.

but what you have is a tree that is completely solid, with no branches
or twigs, and the shadows show that.

what is suggest is carefully lighting the trees so they don't look so block-like.

and also one thing: in the second screen of the first post you should use a bit of CP's terrain pack (in the segments of it, of course) so it doesnt look so tiled

None... Well, zombie infection is kinda end of the world... LoL. But I just wanted to show it off... But do you know abut the CoZ's shader. How to get it to work.

And I decided, that becouse I didn't have the time to post on the asylum comp, (screenie comp 7) I would make the level I made for it bigger and better and add it. Becouse I liked the scene on it.

I did that! They are in the effect folder and in the zombies effect box. I don't know why it isn't working. I have full shaders on, so is it something else in the build game place.

Thank you shadowfire! When Z-Mod is ready, it will be even more better!

I was thinking of making a shorter verion of the game, that has maby something like 6 to 7 levels and one multiplayer map. And, a commercial with more levels. More multiplayer maps and some of them deathmach and some of them team deathmatch! Sounds like plan!

I still have some questions:
1. How do I make doors dynamic? They are static, and there is nothing on the propertion saying, that I can scange it from there.
2. How do I make bots? Some people have made some, and I'd like to do that too.
3. Does melee weapons work on multiplayer? If I want some players to be zombies and have Errants zombie hands...
4. Is someone gonna answer?

Looks like I'm not going down that hallway [Explicit] you random debris! Anyways, this looks great, as for your qeustions.

1: Dynamic multiplayer doors, Don't think you can do that. You can give the illusion of doors however. Make a regular door, right click it and press delete, then spawn a door entity and make it static and place it in the frame however you want it, closed, open, half open w/e

2:Bots, no idea.

3:Melee should work in Multiplayer because technically it is still a "gun" It doesn't use flak or anything that's dynamic.

4: No, never

You have to use the doors in the segmentbank that cut into the walls if you want the players to be able to open and close them. Doors do work in multiplayer, however they don't update on all servers, so if Player A opens a door on a multiplayer map, Player B sees that player phase through a closed door. The door is only open to the player that opens it.

2. How do I make bots? Some people have made some, and I'd like to do that too.

You can't in multiplayer, otherwise we would have co-op and...we don't

Yes, if you played my Training Grounds map, I had Errant's combat knife, and it worked fine for all players.

4. Is someone gonna answer?

No.
