I've done quite a bit of searching on google and have come up with nothing.

Does anyone know what program you would use to make various non bullet weapon effects. Like the plasma gun in q3 or lightning gun for instance?

I was thinking adobe after effects possibly? Anyone have any idea what is typically used?

You can do this with any type of art program.

Effects? Nope, more like 'sprites applied in various places'. FPSC has no form of particle effects.

yeah it sounds like you guys are talking about using a basic image as an individual projectile. I'm talking about animated effects such as those with the guns I mentioned.

So I guess this is impossible with this engine?

Here we go this is the type of thing I'm talking about. How in the world did Bond1 make this effect?

yeah djmaster I realize it's an animation. Have any idea what program he used to make it?

I've already asked in the official horror mod thread about it and looked at the videos of what's available as far as options of what you can do with weapon effects and horror mod.

This type of thing does not look possible using horror mod. I would buy it in a second if it did, and also if it works in conjunction with efx but I'm fairly sure it doesn't.

I want to stress that I'm not some nub when it comes to modeling and am very serious about making weapons. Just trying to get some serious help from some people in the know about this particular issue.
