Hi All

In addition to working with Priske on his blockmen, I am also working with my partner in the animation business to bring you guys some new media.

Here is a sneak peak at our new salesman character:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGghiO4Mtmc

He is about 4800 triangles. These will not be free but will be pretty cheap in the game creator store. Hope you like him. I will be showing more as we progress.

Very nice! I like it.
The only thing is, the death animation has him having his wrists bent, which makes it look weird.
But great work.

I love Taylor Swift. She's awesome.

@AdrianoJones Wannabe: That is ragdoll.

@dennisb: Looks nice, could we see it in x9? (Looks also orignal.)

Keep it up.

Nice Cartoon meshes.

I think the firespot needs adjustment on most of the meshes as they appear to hold the guns in slightly odd positions.

I guess my biggest criticism would be the animation. The FPSC stock animation is only just ok for "realistic human characters", it doesn't really suit the style of these characters. I feel like they need something looser, a bit more Pixar... like their bodies need to be more bendy!

Good work on the actual characters though. What sort of polycount are we talking about on them?

I want robotic legs.

Thanks Butterfingers. I will mess with the firespots to get them a little better, it takes a while to get them just right but will make them perfect before release.

I know what you mean about the animation, I think the animation for a realistic character looks funny on these though. But thanks to truespace additive animation tracks I can pull these farther from the base fpsc animation. I'll see what I can do if time permits.

The salesman is about 4800 tris and the other two are about 7300 tris. But I will probably get action reducer and shrink these down more before release. I dont want any to be over 5k max.

That's an excellent style, Dennis! Would make a viable commercial game, if you took the time and had a good scripter/programmer team.

Excellent in nearly all aspects, but as Butters said, they do hold the guns strangely.
The animations don't bother me at all that much though.

Thanks Keith, right now we are gathering media for online sales, but as for a game in this style in the future, perhaps.

Thanks Adriano, I will definitely work on those firespots

I like it, you could make a very unique, (and therefore commercially viable), game with these!

If I was ever given the opportunity to remove all the bad from the world, I wouldn't, because for there to be heroism, compassion and all that is good, there must also be all that is bad.

I'm diggin' this cartoon style too, especially the cowboy villian.
These look great, and I hope we see some more cowboys and maybe some indians too.

I like the astronaut too, but he looks way too rounded to be low poly. (he would have to be a single boss character that high)

Sounds great, and I am looking forward to it.

Thanks Conjured

The astronaut has not been poly reduced yet. I'm sure he will be a little less rounded when optimized But he actually is fairly low poly right now, the only thing is i have to account for triangulation.
