ok i like the idea of a gun turret raising from the floor but how would I go about making that would the floor and gun be one model an enemy entity that would be placed in a hole in the ground? I could give it a go but my animation skills are limited.
as for the main frame room its self I like it especially the walls moving back and forth but what are the walls are they glass over machinery or just plane glass? or metal also the door is nice I will see if I can start makeing the model soon thanks for your help starmind 001 if you have any other game idea send them my way also if you need any more alien help I'm always at your service

I just tried my last game principality part 2 and the game was incredibly slow like 6 fps what the heck last time I played it several months ago the game ran at 30 fps blooming fpsc

The mainframes would be holographic with plate glass from floor to ceiling. The turret is simple, no hole in the floor needed. Just have the turrets collision off in the down position and when it pops up turn collision on. Now if you would like I can make that for you. The same with the door. And playing old games or pulling old models they seem to become, well old.

so the walls would just be glass okay would there be a problem with the lack of reflections?
would you really make the turret for me thanks man if you want I could make the model or I could send you my dual machine gun model.
I know this game is going to be so much better than the last 2 because of your help

I have sent you my first gun its the laser from pom2 also I am working on a new gun a sort of steam punk Tommy gun



the reason pom part 2 was slow is because of a weird glitch I call mysterious slow down syndrome for some reason a random fpsc game will slow to about 5 fps I get it all the time with fpsc game demos I download people will say how great a game is and I give it a play and I cant get out of the first room because its so slow several people who have downloaded my games have complained of this problem

I am speechless absolutely speechless normally someone would have to pay good money to get such skilled animators on there team but your doing this for free!!!!!

the laser was perfectly animated the little needle moving on the meter was a fantastic touch how did you get the beam of light to work was it a custom muzzle flash or a animated part of the model?
the only problem I had was when I tried to select the guns from the entities menu fpsc crashed I had to select them as the players starting gun but dont worry I can make my own weapon pick up entities
anyway I just want to say thanks again I know I have been saying that allot but this is really making pom3 a much much better game

all right people I have got a bit of a problem when I try to make an ex with more than 3 levels fpsc crashes and I cant seem to combine executables in ver1.09 like I did in ver 1.06 I tried to add a level to a finished ex and that level appears but with no textures

and when I go to look at the texture bank I discover that the new executables have no texture bank?

Very nice. Is your tommy a auto shotgun or just like the original? I noticed the shotgun shells in the texture. I also noticed that it almost would run more like the vickers than the tommy. Let me know what size round they will take. Makes it easier for me to animate. I am glad to see that you are full of steam again.

well I design it be like the vickers and the shotgun shell was just a left over from the sporting 12 shotgun texture but now you mention it
a auto shotgun would be really cool so yes please turn it in to a auto shotgun

sorry about my late response my friend but I have had to take my pc in for repairs I sould get it back in a few days but until then work on POM3 is suspended I am writing this in on my playstation 3 internet conection I will look up that movie you mentioned and the turrent looks just amazing thanks again for your help

when I got my computer back from the pc shop they said I had picked up a virus from a emulation web site and they had to take the pc back to factory standards thay reset the entire computer now the good news I backed up everything about 2 days before so I can resume work on POM3 but I got to reinstall everything thats

Why? Just a small set back. I am almost finished with your weapons and I would hate to see you stop. Those emulations sites can hurt you sometimes. Go here and get this antivirus, it's free and it works for me, sometimes too good.

I was just saying thanks to djmaster because level merging is one of the problems with FPSC ver1.09 anyway I have been trying the backed up media and all the entities and segments seem to work but for some reason the conservatory level seems not to work but I never really liked that level anyway.
thanks for the advice starmind and don't worry I have every intention of finishing this series of games come hell or high water but that said a break would be nice
and your right about the emulation sites well I suppose it serves me right for trying to get games for free

Here's what your turret looks like with the textures I thought you might like. You can still change them with the model I sent you. I will send you the animation when I am done trying to get it to work right in fpsc. Right now the script is messing with me or I am messing with it.

that is astonishing really fantastic work I let you do the texturing if you don't mind because I'm really busy trying to get everything working again on my computer

anyway I really appreciate you working hard to try and get the model working properly if you cant get the coming out the floor animation working could you just have the turret working

No worries. I have the scripts working now and it is a lawn mower. You can edit the scripts to your liking. I will finish up your weapons tonight and get them to you. I also have a suprise for you, but I want to see some in game sceenies of the weapons in action first before I send it to you. Did the antivirus help?

the antivirus looks promising but I still have a subscription with McAfee for the next few months it seems a waste not to use it but when it runs out I will defiantly give it a go

you know I never thought about using mods I will looking in to whats available. but I don't think a useable scope will really be necessary with this gun because I designed it to be a big single shot shotgun I only put in the scope to add detail to a over-wise bland gun but iron sights would be great on a rifle

I'm very much liking the amount the new guns. Keep them coming!

This is looking pretty nice so far. However, I can't help but feel that it is looking very similar to the other 2 games. While this can't really be helped because it's set in the same world and is a direct sequel, are we going to see any new environments that haven't been explored in the series?

Hmm, perhaps a level where you go outside the orbital station but the area is under maintenance and all the walkways and platforms are damaged, so you have to walk over beams and gantries and take leaps of faith with nothing but a huge drop back to the surface below.

Another idea would be a huge training simulator used to train the palaces elite guards. You could use it as a nice excuse to throw in a completely new environment. Perhaps it could simulate another planet or something.
