Sorry but, could you not simply just use a
Storyzone? Just take your image, as long as it's
jpeg (what I use), and you just have it in your FPS Creator > Files > Videobank Folder - throw up a
Storyzone in your game, go to the
Visual property field at the bottom of the
Storyzone's option, open that up (which really just opens your aforementioned Videobank Folder (make sure the picture is in that folder)), and simply click your image to be set up in the Zone; now upon entering the zone, your image will appear - no scripts needed aside from what the Zone uses itself.
I realize you said you were wondering how to make it show up with a
Trigger Zone man; but, as you said you were new, just thought I'd direct you towards that idea as well. A lot less complex if you're simply just trying to get a picture to show up upon stepping into a particular area.
