the scripts in FPSC are REALLY easy to make and learn. you just need to read them, all the commands are self explanitory

the first ( : ) means IF
the second ( : ) means THEN
a comma ( , ) means AND
ELSE is done by having 2 or more if's in the same state.

now, reading ALL the scripts in the scriptbank is hard and takes long. so do it little by little. the way I taught myself was by everytime i rightclicked on an entity to edit its properties, i'd read the scripts it had. I noticed that more and more, little by little, I'd begin to understand them, until scripting in FPI was second nature to me.

Here is an excellent scripting tutorial to begin with and here is a little on how the engine works with scripts.

I suggest, you check out Nickydude's Community FPSC Guide, It has very nice Tutorials by Plystire on using FPI in the beginning section of the guide. It may be useful to download FPIEditpad as well. http://www.olivetreegames.com/FPSC/new/FPI_EditPad_3391.zip

On the right side of the program, are a list of all the stock commands, if you hover your mouse over one, it will give you a full description of what that action or condition does. Learn those commands, and writing FPI will be like writing a book

Once you think you have a firm grasp, you can study already made scripts. See what it does in game, and then look at the script and see if you can determine what in the script, makes it do what you just saw

Also of note is, if you download FPIEditpad and decide to use a mod, you can add the mods conditions and actions into FPIEditpad for use with it to make your scripting easier.
