You might remember the project "Psychosis". Well, this is the same game with new name and slightly different storyline. We are not going to have a time limit (24 hours) like we did with Psychosis, so the results should be way better. Here's the story:

Trevor Shelby is a regular man with an occupation of a reporter. One day, he gets a hint that someone has seen ghosts in a nearby isolated old junior highschool called Adreben. He doesn't believe this kind of rubbish and goes to the school to prove that no such thing as ghosts exist. But when he gets inside, he'll soon notice that something's not quite right. Welcome to Adreben.

Here's some features:

- Custom music
- Custom weapon sounds
- 80% of segment textures will be custom
- Custom HUDs
- Unique storyline with some twists
- Only thing you see in the HUD is your health. You don't see your ammo so best thing would be conserving ammo, or counting your ammo if you really want to.
- Horror mod features like new health system, better framerate and flash light.
- 3 horrific levels (I know, doesn't sound very long but if we succceed, the gameplay should last around 3 hours)
- Everything is not as it looks like

The game will also include one thing, that you've probably never seen done with FPSC.

I'm also happy to announce that every custom segment used in this project will be available for download for free.

Here's couple of screenshots

Yeah, it's dark because the whole first level doesn't have lights, you'll have to wander around with your flash light.

Haha, it's not a lamp, it's a table clock which really looks bad at this angle.

This looks good! Very good! I ilke the first screenie! First I thought that the light is coming from the TV. Maby some little light markers. A very little range. So that there is some lights other than flashlight. But the idea of the wandering around with your flashlight is good. And this looks like a serious horror game to me!

Storm4: Haha, sorry . I'm really interested to see what kind of school you are going to produce though.

The story is slightly cliche cause 30% zombie games have someone goes to a place and gets locked in or something and realizes something isnt right.Try to change that, otherwise it looks awesome so far, nice creepy look.

As a reporter? That's interesting! It would be neat if he had a camera that could be used for something in-game, especially with a flash on it in total darkness . . . <-- tendency to make things more complicated than they need to be. :}

Looks cool! Can't wait to see more.

Hey Juzi, I have decided to let my game idea go, but I want to be generous. I have a HUD idea for you that will be very interesting if it can be pulled off. Give me your email and I'll send you the link that will be posted on my website.

Alright, I'm just going to post the HUD here. All I ask is that I get mentioned in the credits for the design if you choose to use it.

Ok, so what I was thinking was finding a way to hide the gun when the player isnt firing it, so it would be out of sight. But when the gun is fired, it comes from the edge of the screen. This is just my idea.

Nice HUD, but I'd try not using the line tool for your letters next time Maybe make the battery a bars more even but that's just my opinion. Nice concept though! Battery as the Health bar eh? I may have to do that

Back on topic, show us more screens Juzi!!

Thanks Ekipshi. I was going to use it in my game like this but I decided to end the idea for another one. Yeah, I know there are some flaws in it but I was in a hurry to throw it together because I am currently at a band recital for my six and I'm on my iPhone LOL.

On topic: Come on Juzi, we want feedbeack. Any new screens? PLS

Dreamsenshi: I'm not really sure how to pull off the camera

Storm4: Sorry to hear that you dropped your game idea. I was really looking forward to see a school designed by you. The HUD is nice, but I don't think I need it. Don't mean to sound rude, but I was thinking an idea that the HUD should be as unnoticable as possible. I have this idea that there's only a one small block in the upper left corner showing your health. Thanks for your effort though!

Sorry, no screens until tomorrow. I haven't really had time to work with the game at all. I'll really start working with this on the weekend, so expect new screenshots tomorrow or saturday.

Let's say a cliché here: Stay tuned

Maby a hud with a REC text. I have one on my hud pack if you want it. You could also use noise and the flashlight could be the camera light.

I had a follow up thought: perhaps a flash (particles, maybe? I'm still learning a ton here) that could be used to stun enemies in the darkness? Of course, that would mean extra animations for them being stunned, etc. Taking photos would be a bit over-the-top imho. Don't want to turn it into some kind of horror version of Pokemon Snap, right?

Eh, it's just a passing thought anyway, so no worries.

Metal Devil123: I'm not sure how to make noise. Via scripts and huds? Also, nice idea that the camera could be the flashlight, but the light on the camera is usually white. I want the color to be a bit more unique (yellowish as you see in the screenshots). And why wouldn't Trevor take a proper flashlight with him, if he's going to explore the school?

Dreamsenshi: That stun idea sounds more than cool, but I'm afraid that that really would need not only extra animations, but also scripts, and I don't know anything about scripting with FPSC. And yeah, taking photos would be cool also, but it has been seen in many, many games; (GTA, Project Zero, Dead Rising), plus I'm not really sure if that's even possible with FPSC.

Sorry for not posting screenshots yesterday, maybe you'll forgive me if I give you some now

This is a good time to reveal some more about the game:

The "special" thing about the game is, that the environment can be explored freely, and not like a tube, if you know what I mean. There's also a thing loaned from Resident Evil series, that every room has some kind of purpose. So what I'm saying here is that the environment is free, and every room has a meaning; sometimes they contain a diary, sometimes a key, sometimes a crucial hint on some puzzle etc. etc.

Anyway, time for some more screenshots, first up: passageway to the boys' toilet.

I couldn't see a thing in those latest pics. Then again... nvm. Oh ya, that game that I was planning then threw out it back on the drawing board. I also changed up the story so it wont be the same as yours but it will still be set in a school.

Perhaps the text on the banner should be a little faded. It doesn't seem to work well in my eye with the crumpled paper and the big, bold, dark letters.

Ekipshi: That's really nice but yeah, take away the particles and can you make it a little smaller, half a size. And yes, the Adreben text looks a bit too solid.

Braden 713: Thanks mate

Butt monkey: I can't really fix that problem, since the only light source in the whole first level is your flashlight. This may sound a bit cocky, but I'm really succeeded to make the first level scary, because when I walk in the corridors and imagine the sound effects and such, I'm already scared

The color scheme is all wrong, the line on the b is too tall, it needs more fading in the letters and I don't care too much for the shape of the paper itself. I'm kidding man it looks great, I personally really liked the look of the initial banner too, but this one looks sweet for sure

I'm currently working with the first level again, so expect some screenshots today!
