Well, I'm importing a .x file which contains my map. Now, what's the best way of setting collision to objects imported like this? Since it's not simply a box - I can't use "make object collision box." So how should I detect collision?

I would look into Sparky's Collision DLL. It's very useful and works extremely well on .X objects. You could also look into polygon collision (SET OBJECT COLLISION TO POLYGONS and setting up a collision system from there), but I highly recommend Sparky's Collision DLL. There are numerous threads about it and it comes with example files.

You can get it here: http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=74762&b=5

Thanks. I've been fiddling with it, and I think I'm making some progress.
