I am using Valve Hammer 3.4 to make my worlds as BSP files (all is well) and I am using Milkshape to make 3d objects to put inside the world. As a test,in VHE I made a large room with a 1x1x1 cube sitting on the floor (vhe is set to 64 units default), then in Milkshape (with all settings as default) I made a 1x1x1 cube and loaded it inside my world from dbp runtime as an X File. I run the dbp exe and the two cubes are sitting right next to each other on the floor - OK good. I run around them, looking from all sides (using arrow keys and mouselook code) and I notice that the object created in milkshape is slightly taller and slightly wider than the 1x1x1 object in the natve bsp. My question (finally) is there a way to scale down milkshapes settings so that it is 1:1 with VHE?
I know I can scale objects in code but I'd rather set milkshape up and be done. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

I thought there was a way to load prefabs as bounding box to determine the scale in Hammer?

In hammer you need to use the Block tool and have your object stored in the prefabs.

Just make a block approximatively the size of your object and open the prefab menu to select it and create it using 'Enter' at the specified Block's coordinates.

Note that I only used Hammer/Worldcraft once.

So you're saying scale VHE up, as opposed to milkshape down?
I'll give it a try

thanks
