Newcomers DBPro Corner / Help file exaple not working

This line of code is given in a few help file code exables and it give a compile error of (Function call 'scancode' expects parameters in brackets at line 10)


if scancode()>1 and scancode()8 then if object exist(ObjectNumber)=1 then delete object ObjectNumber

It looks like a good way to delete the object so the new one can be created. Can anyone tell me why the help file code will not compile?

But I'd do it like this anyway, THEN IF is the devil...
