Where can i download a trial or demo or something of 3DS Max from?? unless someone can give me some really nice models of some cool characters?

You can save as .mdl which db can load. Can't remeber if its a game-pack of comes with it though .

You need to to export as a .x to get it into DBpro. I think older DB will take a 3ds file but i have heard that 3ds loads much slower. So in either case just load it as a .x
I don't know if Gmax has .x exporter built in or you may have to get a plugin.

gmax has an exe named conv3ds.exe, its a command line converter to make 3ds into x with animation data intact

conv3ds.exe also comes with the Direct X SDK Extra DL from MS.
