I need a file picker, and I read somewhere on these boards that you can call the windows file selector dll. But I don't have a clue what the parameters would be.

Anybody have a link to them?

And is there some place I can find the parms for all the common windows dialogs?

Thanks in advance.

Here's Jess T's (a TGC moderator) code for it:

You can see it takes a bit more than just "passing some parameters"...

Cheers!

Wow, does it ever! That looks very daunting. Maybe I'll just stick to using VB.

So... I also read somewhere about using a VB program to hold DarkBASIC in a wrapper for rendering.

What I'm aiming for is a "windows" like set of controls (text input, output boxes, spinners, file picker, etc) with 3D rendering.

I also recall some GUI plugins for DBPro, so I look around for those as well.

Thanks for the response.

I got over my fear of large code blocks, and tried that code you posted.

Works great! Just what I need!

So, thanks Sven!

And thanks Jess T, wherever you are!

Even though this is kinda late, you could use goga's dbpro plugin which can do all of that in about 3 commands and that would seriously reduce the size of the code.

Yes, that's what I was looking for. Finding them is another story. Goga, or GogetaX, or Sergey K, and the websites and file locations come and go. Some of his plugins are free, some are for pay.

This thread shows the dll calls...

Do you have a link to the free DBP one?

EDIT: Here's the link I found...

Goga's DBP plugin

Sven B, I can't get it to work on my machine. I have windows 7..... if that makes any difference.

The fastest code is the code never written.
