i personally believe (most)pc mags are good to buy only if you're really into buying software/hardware...as for keeping up with the latest technologies, you can do that with the net

'PC Powerplay' is still yet to feature anything DBP-related

cdroms are good when they bundle large installs and you on 56k.
I train all my new users to scour for a good pc mag bargain.
Ive got a slew of free software doing such for so little.

there also good when they put isos of linux on them to try.
I wouldnt have tried BEOS 5 without mags.

the author is SW, the author of the original Star Wraith games
i'm pretty sure the first S stands for Simon - but what the last one stands for can't remember.

If i remember him and insider are mates, which doesn't help much considering insider ain't around much right now either lol

Hmmm, Some how I knew it'd be in this months issue.. Must be ESP..

For those who don't know what the Star Wraith series is all about, we're still mirroring Star Wraith 3..

Yeah, I got this yesterday. Very cool. I remember another aussie PC magazine, "APC" had a demo of DBC on it, in 2001. The dumb thing was though, the demo was version 1.04, but the demo version on the official DarkBASIC website at the time was 1.08!!!! I know that there is a time between when a article is written and when it is published. But, it seems a too bigger version gap. lol Anyway, who cares.

lmao... man ya know if i remember 1.04 was available for like 2weeks before there were some pretty major bugs found ans squished ... thinking about it up until 1.06 the patches were kinda thick'n'fast

still who cares as long as you got the latest version in the end
