Well, it's really hard to find a modeling tutorial that teaches how to model; most you'll find are just techniques on how to manipulate shapes and such. As for animating, there's one in the community guide by FredP which is very good. There's also a UV mapping tut by screwed over in the community guide.

Best.

Not blender for animating.
Use fragmotion or MS3d.
I prefer Fragmotion.

Blender is great for animating, but I have yet found a way to bypass Blender's buggy .x exporter, and import meshes with their animations into FPS Creator. So I would have to agree; Milkshape or Fragmotion are your best bets (unless you have $3,000 lying around to purchase a license for 3D Studio Max). For texturing, I would recommend GIMP.

Unless you're a pirate like 95% of the people on MSN I've met who use 3DS Max...

But of course, piracy is stupid and you shouldn't do it so that's out of the question, so use MS3d.

You know, I don't know why people don't look in their files for fpsc creator. In the "docs" folder there is a tutorial written by people here on the forum and compiled into a nice guide by nickydude. If I remember right, it comes with updates 9-15. So here is the guide to look at : http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=131868&b=21

There's a tutorial on animating a basic weapon made by wetham or fredp. Look on page 166.
