So, in FPSX9.. you had what looked like a grid mode, where each square in the editor was gridded so you knew where the map ended at any side.. in X10.. i have a black screen and it's bloody annoying trying to map to find out you've hit a level wall.

Is there a way to get the zone gridded?

looks like the map editor has gone corrupt , try reisntalling x10 or install your latest video drivers

And i've got the latest drivers.

Well i just watched the tutorial videos, and the background is pitch black in that too..

And the Making a game quick video.. and that is also black, but it flashes and you can see the grid in the background..

Is there anyway i can see the grid? Cause it's doing my head in ):

Have you tried pressing the following keys?

V or Z

They show the entire grid or zoom right up / out.

No idea what else there could be

Ye, i've found that.. but if i try placing a segment, it goes back to being pitch black again =(

And my specs are:

Q660@2.4GHZ
4GB DDR2 Ram;
GeForce 9600GS

you seem to be fine , exept the the 2.4 ghz , you might notice quite a bit of lag ingame , stupid fpsc

Ah , also , if you have v1.09 then you need to update to directx10.1 , if your pc doesnt support DX10.1 then your screwed and will have to go back to v1.08

Yeah, i got DX10.1 it's still pitch black..

But i've found an extremely cheap way around it, if i set my game to multiplayer in preferences, i can see the grid but obvs it's MP, so i have to put it to SP to test lol ^_^

Acturly , I may be able to help you even more , mabe your grid file is being corrupted or something.

I attached a download , put it in your -

#X10 Directory#Fileseditorsgfx

then see if it works

Also - You can make a single player game with the multiplayer feature :p , Dynamic objects are disabled , granades arnt allowd (even model packs ) and also you cannot add AI to it using the MP feature so try the file in the attachment

Sorry it took a while, nope. Doesn't work ):

I SOMEHOW got it to work on one of my maps when i was building.. i pressed a key by accident, and it gridded and i got the blue circle D:

And, i have no idea what i did ><

B doesn't work, at all.
