There are tons of walls & floors for download but that still doesnt make a whole building.

Thats why I decided to do a complete pack that includes everything:
- 1 room segment (handcrafted wall + altered seamless wooden floor)
- 3 roof segments
- 1 door (opens slower than usual and with a creaking sound)
- 1 wooden stair matching the floor (the first one with closed steps btw)
- 2 stained glass windows (EDIT: for optical reasons it is highly recommended to use the small windows for ground floors and the large windows only when the roof is directly above)
- 1 wall sign

The models are all stock FPSC media, so to use this pack, one needs a full version of FPSC X9. The textures are also from stock or sites like CG textures or wikimedia commons and royalty free, as are the soundfiles. Therefore everything is free for commercial and non-commercial use

DOWNLOAD LINK FOR THE REAPAIRED VERSION 1.1:http://www.file-upload.net/download-1941173/Storytellers-Fantasy-Retextures-01-1.rar.html
EDIT: as usual just dump the whole "files" folder into your FPSC directory and overwrite everything. ALL new folders are named "Fantasy Retextures" (even the one in the audiobank )

Here are some screens:

It took me over a month to make this as I didnt know much about segment-/entitymaking or texturing. I am still not completely satisfied because everything looks a bit too *tidy* for my own taste but I hope my next buildings will be more realistic.

Plans are for a Temple, a Manor and a Dungeon, of course including everything like roofs, stairs etc. - maybe even some more (retextured) props.

You mean the floor being lighter where the door opens? Thats just because I actually did put a light mark with 10000 range (height 6 or so) outside for the pics

Thanks for the kind words

I hadn't realized when doing this, but some parts really are matching the pirate pack - the door and the roof at least

Could you also make a .x and .dds file so it will work with x10?

Not sure how to make the .X file, but for the .dds file I think you could just open it in GIMP and save it as """"".dds, and then it'll be a dds file.

There should be no problem with the .x file, but there does need to be a .dds file.

The Storyteller 01,

Most excellent work and thanks for sharing. You can help that "tidy" appearance by adding layers of grungy materials, like rusted metal or concrete on top of your clean textures and blending the layer to suite.

Really looking forward to more.

Brian.

I am checking out the missing texture thing - sorry for that.

PS: are ALL textures missing for segments and entities?

I found the error

I didnt create the folder "Fantasy_Retextures" for the "texturebank" folder in the Archive so all the textures have been copied straigth into your "texturebank" folder

I am repacking everything and upload the new archive in 30 minutes.

you can also create the missing folder inside the "texturebank" folder yourself and dump the .tga and dds. files from my archives "texturebank" folder into it.

sorry for the inconvenience!

A new downloadlink for the REPAIRED ARCHIVE is up in the first post!

Again, sorry for the inconvenience, I know myself how frustrating it is, when you cant wait to use new media and then it doesnt work

If you find more errors, dont hesitate to post. And please be patient, I am still learning this whole thing from scratch.

To make up for it, I decided to upload a new door this week (I have made a texture that doesnt match any of the buildings I plan anyway )

Glad you like it but you do me too much honor - I am no modeller. texturing is my current limit.

And I would love SO much to see some Fantasy games (a demo level at least) done with FPSC (apart from my own I am working on )

edit ok, I love the way it all comes together, the only thing is the door creek starts way before the door opens and ends way to late. but the door creek sound is real good to. over all I love it all.

Believe me, it took me a whole weekend to search for the right (free) sound and adjust the speed of the door to be halfway synch.

Its not ideal though, you are right. I also noticed that the slower animation speed of the door means, that the PC can only walk through the opening after another 1/2 second, which is rather long in a shooter

If some of you dislike anything about the door, just copy the lines for speed and soundset from the existing standard door into the .fps file of the Tavern_Door ENTITY.

I just now had the time to check this out. Nice job bro. Your hard work paid off. It looks great! I'm going to add this to my Pirates folder ( It really does go well with that pack).

Have one on me!
