FPSC Classic Models and Media / Textures in DDS format

As far as I know the best graphic format for a FPSC texture is DDS.

But what kind of DDS: DXT1, DXT3, ... ?

You can just use the dds converter. This is what I use. I also have a plugin for gimp that does it all the same. Here's the download:

If you have Windows Vista (DX10) ddsconverter wont work, you can use DXTbmp instead.

In case you find my grammar and spelling weird ---> native German speaker ^^

I purchased Photoshop 5.0 years ago when I was working for The Walt Disney Corp. It's fully Loaded with practicaly every commercial plugin filter package there is. The bar on the top is Extensis Photo tools. With it I can create buttons for every action or filter you can think of. It litterally cuts my production time in half.

Unfortunatly you can't use it with any version after 5.5 of Photoshop. I also have a copy of CS4, which I use now and then if I want to use any of the newer features.

But 5.0 is my workhorse!

Paint.NET also saves as .dds
