Hello I have finally finished my Colt Pistol. Here is some screens. This is hopefully going into the store if i get accepted. It contains all VWeap, PickUp, Hud etc. How many points do you guys think its worth? 200 maybe? Anyway heres the picture:

I really don't want to upset you, but it will only get accepted if you take out the MP6 hands and make your own. I'm pretty sure that you can only submit things to the store that are 100% your own creation.

It looks really cool, though.

Even if Simon said (lol) that you can use the hands for both free and commercial models as long as they're for FPSC? if the maker approved it, then I see no problems with it.

And couldn't you make a normal screenshot? It's hard for me to judge the quality basing on the one we have now...

The gun looks great man, well done!

As for the hands, they don't appear to be the MP6 hands in my opinion - they may have been created by Simon, that I'm not sure of, however they really don't look like the hands from his weapon pack.

Cheers

Life would be much easier if I had the source code.

Now why would I buy when I can get the same thing for free. The same hands and weapon. Not to burst any bubbles, but Simon has already done this. If it is a customized 45 then explain how you customized it. Just curious that's all.

And its stretched
Seriously, you need to work on it a little more.
And did you make the actual mesh?
To me it looks like a stretched out version of the stock .45

@General Jackson: You are not helping in the slightest. And it's obvious that he made the mesh as he has a post in the 3D boards with a wireframe that had not yet been triangulated, so it's 99.9 percent certain that he did make it.

I think the issue is that Simon stated that the hands could be used for FPSC only. Assets on GCS are permitted for use in any engine. So, you would need to get Simon's approval to sell it (or anything using his hands) there.

edit: Accoun, your trippletags sig makes a sign-in pop up appear when the page loads... super annoying.

Thanks for the comments all. I will add Simon's name to the credits.

@General Jackson:
Where is it stretched. And it is my gun.
@starmind 001
It's not a specific model of a Colt pistol. The actual reference was a colt 1911 but as you can see it dosn't look completly like one.

Half Life Dude, The permission slip Simon gave to djmaster does not automatically apply to others. You will still need to contact him and get his OK.

If Simon clearly stated that you may sell work that contains his arms, then i see no problem. But it seems like you havent even contacted him.

I contacted him about the same issue, he never got back to me.

I think I did it twice. Except one was over a year ago.

When I contacted him it took like a week or two to get his answer.

Good. I'm glad you will contact him. The thread with DL I saw didn't use Simons actual words- it was Aaagreen paraphrasing what he said and he left out the FPSC-only caveat. I'm still trying to track down the original quote (for my own sanity).

Half Life Dude, I got your email. I don't have a simple answer for you but some time ago Matuka posted a couple good tuts (I think from FPS bananna) on making metal textures. Maybe someone has a link for you.

If you need the original 3ds max file for the arms, let me know.

The same goes for anyone who wants to use the modelpack6 arms on their own guns, you have my blessing.
If there's enough interest I'll add them to the stock weapons as a free download.""

Yeah, it was further down the thread.

Can someone ask him for the a-ok for everyone and the TGC store? Because some people's emails might not get through (like mine).

I know a good one by Millenia.

Also, I'm pretty sure that every TGC store item can have their own separate licenses. So just add in the license that they are in use for FPS Creator only, and thanks to Simon Benge for authorisation to use the hands.

Thanks Aaagreen for those ,

Massap2: Thats your opinion, other might not be able to model. Also rigging and getting into game is hard especially if its a gun.

Toasty: I wasnt neccesarily helping I was asking
Also, I hardly ever go to the 3d board
Halflife dude: Maybe its just the picture its probably not stretched it just kinda looks like it.
Also, about the mesh I just couldnt quite tell if it was the same as the stock one, again, just asking.

I have no idea whats causing the problem, I've checked all the model and bones to see if it scales with an animation, im going to try it on my laptop to see if its my computer which I doubt. I think im going to have to put it in for 100 points.
