Im making the weapon pack as you know tho now im doing my own animations.Heres the first weapon,the deagle.Doesnt have my traditional hide reload sequence,has a real reload animation.The model is from fpsbanana,made by Vilzu.The texture and animation is all mine.

But the texture is just overly scratched plastic with no definition, shadowing or anything!

I havent even baked it lol.Its going in the oven for 5 minutes at 220 degrees celsius.Plus I rendered that image without any lights

Looks good, although the texture for the SCAR's clip should have a little more detail.

No problemo... It was a quick job. But i see there is a small texture problem on the shoulder. Strange on the render it shows good. Maybe trying adding in a shader and normal map, will look quite nice.

Looks like you're using mp40 anims for SCAR - why not use the ones from m4? They're both assault rifles, so using animations from an SMG looks strange.
Plus the Deagle is too big and/or too near the camera. I'd scale it a bit down, move it slightly forward an maybe center it a bit...

Your signature has been erased by a mod, because it caused a pop-up.

The models look great but you mustn't rely on AO bakes to have a quality tetxure. The SCAR looks terrible because of this, as it seems that you jut went and found a bunch of scratch brushes, plastered them all over the AO bake and hoped for the best. The Deagle looks the same but worse, with no texture variation at all.

Also, I'm all for the FPS Banana devhub, but why aren't you making your own models? There's not a problem with it (so long as you have permission) but I was looking foward to seeing your models improve.

And everyone thats complaining about textures you can make your own after its released,I like them as they are normal.The SCAR really is a little bit too worn out but that will be fixed.

Have you tried rendering this in-game with CoZ's weapon shader(s)?

*Not a bad thing, the textures don't suit my style.

My only critique is that during the animations, during the reload it would look 10x better if the gun maybe rotated 45 degrees when you take the clip out and put it back in.
do you see what I am saying hear? The Deagle looks good, but the scars texture needs some work.

Indeed my only critism is the scar texture. Deagle is cool. Shader used is a modification on COZ his shader.

If only it were that simple. Texturing is the most difficult part of the modeling process. If I felt like making my own texture I might as well make my own gun as well.

Lol, actually i just made some layers so it would look better then it was. Because i you guys dont like that, you would die from the other.
Anyway... Basicaly i didnt made the texture. I just edited it a bit. And i admit, that is one of my most terrible textures. Yep the deagle texture is made by me, too. Like in 3 minutes or something.

I will try and keep my promise by saying that i will redo the scar. (I will try, as i have alot of freelance work!)

@djmaster: I want to speak you on MSN asap!

Good work so far on the scar. I will be making my own textures for it that I will post here, that include a tactical black, and a tan (brownish) texture. I might also make camo textures. These may not be that best because I am quite new to texturing but ill do my best. Good luck to DJ with his other weapons

That's why auto unwrappers shouldn't be used. How did you make a texture with it? Also I don't thing that mag is important enough to have a texture on its own...

Dear god those UVs are an utter nightmare. I don't even know why the guns look so good. It's going to be impossible to re-texture unless you do it. I doubt anyone else can sort through that mayhem.
