Just tested the segments and they work fine, no gaps, no collision issues. Did take me a little while to figure out how to make a corner and the placement arrow is a little confusing, I expected the two-headed arrow to point the way the tunnel would run (like when placing stock corridors).

All in all they work great. Thanks WoI.

Hi guys here is the second set of concrete tunnel meshes,I will however not be using them for the upgrade so you might as well have them to use for some thing else..

@Nickydude
Yeah sadly I decided against breaking them up into smaller meshes far too many problems getting them to work as intended with a segment editor....

But using the layer toolbar (tab) things are a wee bit easier for placement....

I am further expanding this mesh set with intention of creating a mesh set of epic portions....

Some feedback would be much appreciated....

After a few hours importing the new set have been imported...

This does add a lot of variance to the segments

Very well suited to an underground complex, sewer, subway system or more. Excellent work as always.

Thanks.Have added more little details going to add a grate section.

Funny you should mention subway it started out as that then evolved into some thing else.Still not completely happy with it still requires some more details like the pipes and perhaps a few more destroyed sections......

Your segments certainly fill a gap - you are indeed upgrading stock media a lot.

Thanks.

Have added no CSG and CSG wall to the mix so this closes off areas and still gives you the feeling of a large interior also tried to test out some new textures...

what do you guys think should I stick to the old texture or use the new one.

The new texture definitely. It looks more realistic and also gives the large segments more dephts. A very good job, maybe they could also be a tone darker

These are looking excellent... Really well done.

I like the new texture personally, but think that you should as you say, do a few to add variation. Could I suggest that you try a texture with a tide mark around the bottom to indicate the previous water mark? Just an idea.

Currently they are uvmapped for seamless textures. So they would have to be remapped to allow that...

Yeah I would love to add a tide or grunge type texture to the mix...

Have added yet another new segment mesh. This one a quite like, all I have to do is test that the enemies will indeed have a crack at you from in there...

The first (unfinished) game I ever made when I got FPSC was called "The Facility" and took place inside a large concrete building and I used WWII stuff but there wasn't enough variety. With your pack WoI I could actually finish that game.

Not many people use stock now but I think that's about to change.

I do hope the time and effort put into creating these meshes and the many headaches with working out problems with collision and making the segments easy to use as well as getting perfect alignment for the one mesh to the next mesh is worth the turn out

Which currently is not a lot ah well like you said not a lot of people are using stocking media now days, I guess it is not worth continuing this project.

Guys thanks for all the support unless there are any objections a mod can lock this...

Shame, as I know how much work goes into these. Take some comfort in knowing that some of us do appreciate your time, talent and effort. Also, it's not only your work, but I'm seeing a change across the board with all free media. There used to be much more participation in new media, but not much anymore. I don't know if it's because people are more able to cater to their own needs/wants or because we have become so spoiled with free, quality content.

Shame about the fishing trip though. Sounds like just what we need.

Sent you an email.

I really don't agree. I for one have really been looking forward to all of these models and really have appreciated your work and the effort you've made.

I'd really like to encourage you to at least release the models you've made so far. I think they add a massive new dimension to the stock media and for me would still like to see you continue.

Best of luck whatever you decide.

I for one always check first for stock media to use, next I check is commercial model packs I own and then comes free media.

Why? Because Stock and MP media share a quality and style that makes them 100 intermixable (at least the earlier MPs) which is not true for all the custom media available.

Cosmic Prophet segments&models p.e are top quality but have a distinctive style. If I'd build an SF level I would have to choose between stock and CP's. I would probably prefer the CP style but the point is that everything that is made in the stock style further expands the allready largest selection to build upon.

Keep on the good work wizard, your work will definitely not be wasted!

for the next hour if there is enough feedback it can stay if not will be removed and will be re-textured and be put up for sale.

Please check the readme before using

Tested it.. This is excellent work, could I just say that an hour is a little short a time for people to see the thread, especially around this time. (I'm in France and the time is 7:30pm, most of Europe will be eating at the moment and not checking the thread. It would be a shame if you decided to stop and people hadn't had a chance to see how you felt.)

No problems with the pack at all, it took me a minute or two to work out the doors until I released about the built cut segment but that was me being stupid.

I personally think that it would be a great shame if you felt you wanted to give up as I know that many people can be rude and just download models without commenting but I really feel that all of your work adds to the stock media in a great way, I use your previous work in almost all of my sci-fi games and I for one will be sad to see you end this project if that's what you decide to do. I'm also very selfish and was looking forward to the new additions you'd made to the sci-fi models

The generosity of your efforts is very much appreciated and I hope you do continue.

As to those who have downloaded but not commented the time limited license agreement is now in power and you are either required to delete the files or follow the agreement and purchase a license.

any use illegal is now forbidden.

thanks u two it makes me feel loved well only a little

Nickydude kindly lock it now.Unless some one wants to throw obscene gestures my way.....*joke*

@Scene Commander
There were over 37 views from the time I posted till 7:31.There were at least 10 or 15 FPSC users during that time online....

It is really not worth doing this for 5 users it took nearly 4 hours to import making the thumbnail shots re-size them check every segment make the example level.

Took 5 days creating all these meshes and redoing them or changing this or fixing this problem ect.

it's not fair to those who actively support and those oh free media cool.

While doing project upgrade stock media 1 on more than one occasion were my meshes pirated and sold or re-textured and given away for free without thinking twice...
And that is not fair to me

I'm sorry to see this pack stopped, you're work is amazing wizard of id. where would one purchase a license and for how much?

PS- maybe if you left the files up for a bit longer you'd get more comments from people who care about your media...I know I wasn't able to see it before you took it down

I understand completely. This is mainly way WASP mod stopped. I've had over 500 downloads and only about 15 people commented (if that, it was the same people over again.)

I very sorry about that, it's very sad what people will do.

As I say, I wish you the best for the future and cash willing will support any commercial work you choose to do and thanks again for all of your previous work.

via email moneybookers.com (uk site) $9.99 this includes all extra media that were not included the pipes, wires the other bunker sections the additional textures as well as the caved in sections and other bobs and bits.

I think about 80 or so meshes all in all.

*edit*
@Dahjah
Sadly yeah there is still the concrete tunnel version 2 in this thread.

This is a good example of artists getting tired of their work being taken for granted. I fully support Wiz of Id's decision.

Just as an aside; I think you should take some time out and create your own unique and playable level/game.
