Hi guys

Yeah what a odd name for a game. This a Tetris styled game with a twist.

The object is simple stack as many blocks as you can in 2 mins before the big exploding block spawns.Stick to the white floor tiles as any other tile might either kill you or take away some health.Green floor tiles regenerate health however each 10 seconds a red block is spawned which explodes destroying other blocks and taking away health.

Green light areas requires switches to be activated.Yellow areas ends the level. However don't be fooled to build the yellow area first as the already spawned blocks only lasts for a 1 min before new blocks get spawned.

There are special blocks that make life easier however they usually
protected by impassible colored floor tiles.

In later levels you are required to build a path over colored tiles
fill up holes to pass as well as little green men whose only job is to throw grates and blow up you careful constructed towers of blocks. Also be careful of yellow blue and orange tiles as they require a block of the same color to spawn the next block for either the switch zone or a impassable or exit zone.

Guys the screenshot doesn't say much. However I'm doing this as a pet project more a proof of concept.Taking spawning and scripting
to the max.

What do you guys think about the idea. Will upload a video later this week to show what I mean.

This is really only a Proof of Concept game will maybe only have a 4 or 5 levels....

Enjoy

The idea sounds great! Knowing you, it'll probably be filled with excellent custom media, and look better than 50% of the games on this site. I'm lookin' forward to it, WoI.

Now that's some FPSC originality at it's finest! This is a wicked cool idea man, I'm very excited to try a demo; I've always believed games like this were the shining example of enjoyment in videogaming - it's not quality of graphics, but simply something that's fun to play, over and over, that just grabs the player and sticks. Way to go on this man, I look forward to trying it out

Cheers

Life would be much easier if I had the source code.

Finally something fresh.Tackling FPSC physics will be a challenge but I hope you will conquer it.

Looking at adding besides Tetris type blocks some other surprise objects.

The hardest part is keeping track of which block does what getting the randomness of spawning and destroying blocks correct and giving you a fair chance of getting to build high enough wall or bridge....

So you will have a green block spawn life for two mins the highest and the lowest yellow only a few seconds. So you have to think, count Tetris blocks and see which option or route is this best.

All while dodging green men and falling blocks and of course the deadly floor tiles....

The level building is fairly quick because you only use a small area the scripting and tweaking and organizing the disorganized chaos is the fun part...

The level is fairly flat I want to add platforms and wall beams to get the physics really unpredictable

However this is what happens when you get spawning wrong some times

I have added the platforms and beams. The basic textures have a soft feel to it the lighter the texture the better it contrasts
with other dark ones.

This level requires blocks to be stacked as well as gravity activation switches.Be careful on landing on the
the red squares.

It's hard to explain how you stack the blocks or how you lift and place them...or even the different physics weights and spawning.

The green blocks are placeholders the final blocks will slot into one another. What I like about this level it requires that you stack the blocks across and have to back track to collect the other blocks but the spawned blocks only lasts so long.Time is of essence.

Increased the lightmap quality to 50.Still want to add some type of light sources.

I like the name, and it sounds interesting! I'm having trouble conceptualizing how to play it, but like djmaster, I'm looking forward to seeing a video of it! Keep it up.

Should have some thing up next week only it's end of the month so every one is using up their monthly bandwidth using a HSPDA modem
and there is only one tower for 3 different networks. "Sad Panda"

Tetris style
doesn't mean real Tetris type game play. It does however make use of Tetris fundamentals stack blocks ect spawn blocks when one block has been placed. So you are required to reach a certain height via trigger zone activation to spawn the next set of blocks.
