is there a way to texture in wings 3d?
i haven't been able to find the command so i've been building it in wings then transferring it to canvas to texture it
the prob with that is canvas seems to mess up the view of my objects more times than not )-:
any suggestion would be more than appreciated (-:

You First Select the Object that you want to UV Map
Right Click and click UV Mapping

Now thats the command to go UV Mapping mode. Personally, I just use
segment projection and continue unfolding to do a quick texture job.

If you're not comfortable with wings's mapping options there are many alternatives, just make a quick search for Unwrapper or UVMapper on googles
