I\'ve had this problem before, but it was never answered.
Is there a way to have players Spawn with selected guns in MP without having to have them pick them up?

It's been answered by several people before, but I know that the search feature only displays the 100 most resent posts, so here I go:

Most people know this but I'll start from basics, hope that's okay... When you build the multiplayer game you can't set a "Start Marker" like you would in single player. Instead, you need to set an entity, who (for the stock characters, at least), unless you choose the "unarmed" variation, have a basic weapon by default. I'll use conker (heavy weapon) as an example.

He has the vickers weapon by default. You may have noticed that you can't edit the weapon in the editor. There aren't even options for it!

Well, you need to go into your entitybank and in this case scifi/characters folder and find the file conker (heavy weapon). Either choose to open it in Notepad (not really a good idea) or download FPI EditPad and use it. Once it's opened, find the line hasweapon = scifi\vickers and change it to the corresponding "gun" subfolder in the "gamebank" in the same format (IE hasweapon = ww2\colt45 or whatever). Save, run "FPSCreatorCleaner" a few times (good idea to do this after every major change) and test it. Your conker (heavy weapon) should now wield a classy Colt45! Hope I that it helps (and that I didn't leave anything out )

Ahhha! I tried that but couldn't find the correspoding Folders thankyou very much!, Also if i put a coma (,) would i be able to list more than 1 weapon?

EDIT

I've just been playing around with the new script and testing, and now the player just spawns with nothing,

How do you have the directory set up? Paste your hasweapon = line so I can have a look at it...

EDIT: I spelled colt45 wrong in my example... hope that you didn't try THAT

Ah, okay... I see what's up:

1. Flak (like bazookas, grenades and explodable weapons) AREN'T supported in a multiplayer map (Lee took it out to stop lag)

2. For an EAI weapon, it would be eai\ not purchased/ (By default, that should be the folder name for his store weapons.)

IMPORTANT: It has to be \ not / (It won't work the other way!)

That won't work because of the spaces. Remove the spaces from the folder name (Not just in the script, remove them from the actual folder name as well)

Spaces tell the engine that you're seperating parameters, which you're not.

Cant you just place some weapons under the character? And when you spawn youre weapons appear.

Yes but then you'd have to have a full server, otherwise, there'd just be random weapons everywhere.
