-------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm Currently Running FPS Creator X10 v1.09

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Here are my system Specs:

-------------------------------------------------------------------

- Hewlett Packard PC (3 months old)

- Vista Home Premium 64bit SP1

- AMD Phenom 9150e Quad-Core Processor (4 CPUs), Each @ 1.8GHz Total= 7.2GHz

- 7.00 GB DDR2 Memory

- Direct X 10

- ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics (3065MB) Internal DAC (400MHz)

- 24" HP LCD Flatscreen Monitor (Current Resolution: 1920 x 1080 32 bit 60Hz).

- HHD Size: 700 GB Current Free Space Remaining: 459 GB

-------------------------------------------------------------------

The graphics themselves look awesome, but it LAGs Really Bad!!

What would be the cheapest fix to make this work right?

Thank you all in advance for your help.

Get a Nvidia 250 GTS video card and you'll be good to go...

Yeah, other than the GPU that's a decent system.

So either get an 8800 series card from nvidea, or a top-of-the-line ATI card?

Well, I'd probably also then have to get a much more powerful Power Supply too.

Darn, that makes FPSC X10 a Very expensive program. At least for me.

It really isn't that impressive, the processors are pretty slow at only 1.8 GHz each, he didn't give the details about the ram.

5 series FTW.

Your graphics card is definitely the bottleneck.

You can't really tell how good a processor is just from the clock speed.

I was thinking of overclocking my motherboard so it acts as a 3.40ghz insted of a 2.80ghz

I heard that "Over-CLocking" is really bad / hard on your system....makes it last a lot less time.

Is that right?

And if not, how would I do it?

Also, if I did do it, would it improve my ability to use X10?

AMD Phenom 9150e-
clock speed - 1.8 GHz
max frequency - 1.6 GHz
HT frequency - 1.6 GHz
TDP - 65 W
L2 cache - 2 mb
L3 cache - 2 mb

That is why I prefer intel.

Thanks for that article, I read it.

I still really do want to know if it's safe to over-clock my machine.

And if it is, can someone send me a small tutorial on just how to do it? Based upon my machine specs.

If you need to know more about my computer let me know what you need and where to find the info.

Thanks a lot.

Again, it's not always a simple case of statistics. A particular model of processor with a 1.8Ghz clock speed might perform better than another model with a 2.5Ghz clock speed.

I'm not saying that it is awful, I am just saying that it is not a processor that I would want. Currently, I would choose an intel extreme quad-core, but those are very expensive.

It depends on what condition your pc is , what kind of environment its in , its overall heat , its quality etc

I wouldn't recommend over-clocking unless you have a good amount of experience working with PC hardware.
