Here's a status report of the project:

Once again, I've made too complex level for FPSC. This is the third time I've made the level and I'm getting pretty much bored of the bunker-theme. I was planning to put a nice contrast for the game; When you get out of the stinking bunkers to the desert's sunlight, the view should be refresthing. I think I'll do the level AGAIN, fourth time, but this time, I'll start right over from the outdoor scene; desert.

If the desert level doesn't work, I think I have no other choice but to abandon this project and fully concentrate on the reborn Vague.

I dance in tune with what I fear to do adrenaline.

If you want a good desert, put the segment on layer zero and set it up so that segment covers the whole floor, and then use invisible walls to block out extra stuff.

Juzi,
what do you mean the level is too complex? Does it crash when building a test?
Mind telling me what your light map settings are? I've often encountered problems involving those, and if they're set too high your not going to be able to do a very complex level.
Please reply back, I wanna try and help you out, this looked so good!

What I mean by too complex is that it has lots of entities and characters. And I hate to say this but my lightmapquality is set to 10 . I could put it even lower but then the game would look very, very ugly.

Edit: Well, I'm a persistent soul so yeah, I could give this a fifth run . I'm going to test out what kind of environment I can produce with the Model Pack 38.

Quality doesn't have as much of an impact as lightmap size, what would that be at? I personally use 256 lightmap size and 75-100 quality, and my rather detailed levels still run perfectly

Ekipshi: Mine is 256 so..

To all: I'm staying at my friend's house for the whole week so I should have plenty of time to develope this game. Who knows, maybe I'll get it ready this week .

I've also decided to publish the level list:

Level 1: Bunkers
Level 2: Mansion
Level 3: Sci-fi'sh underground laboratory

I may have to cut the levels to smaller pieces in order to make the levels work. I've noticed that almost every large level fails to build.

I dance in tune with what I fear to do adrenaline.

Sorry for the lack of updates, haven't really had time for this because I'm making a humor game for my friend's 18th birthday. Also, after a long break, I've started to compose music again. (Check my music thread here)

I must admit that at one point I completely lost interest on this project but now when I get home from this boring school of mine, I'm going to continue Monster Slayer. Yippee, my motivation and inspiration is back

So yeah, stay tuned

Here's 1 WIP shot for you to enjoy. As you might notice from the screenshot, the first level will not be a bunker, but a large sewer system. I got inspired to make this level because of Wizard of Id's awesome sewer segment pack, so thanks to him!
