I know this is probably very easy and obvious, but i have searched and cannot find an answer. How do i make it so a hud is displayed while the player is in a trigger zone, and stays there as long as the player stays in the zone? Meaning it disappears when the player leaves.

At night i lay awake on my bed, gazing up at the stars, and i wonde-hey, where'd the roof go?

use plrwithinzone=1 and plrwithinzone=0 , so the hud apperes when the plr is in zone and so..
This is a very siimple script , maybe you should check Official community guide , It's really useful
you can DL it from a sticky script .

I suck at scripting, i have tried to learn and i can't. Could you please post the whole script (which i'm assuming is pretty short) so i can see everything i need to put in? Sorry, i'm just horrible with this stuff.

Thank you, but when i test the game and reach the trigger zone, a red kind of circle with white in the middle appears, covering the whole screen, not the hud that i typed in for it to load. Here is the script, did i miss anything?

Yes you have to make the as a string, not as a filename.

Please get back to me if this works or doesnt

Thank you, but the red circle still appears covering the whole screen, not the panic hud...

give your script a "desc" line. Aside from that, make sure your HUD file is in the correct location.

Ok, i added the "desc" and also "artificial intelligence script" ";header" and ";triggers", and it works now, so thanks, even though those additional lines probably werent necessary, i just added them because ive seen them in other scripts. I just have one problem though, every time i step into the trigger zone, the hud keeps appearing. What would i add to make it only appear the first time i step into it?

@ Model Packs

Here is a script I use to display a hud when I step into a trigger zone. It displays only once and then that is it. If I pass by the trigger zone, it does not redisplay.

Hope that helps.
