Hi, I did a search and could find no entry concerning this problem.
I use the following code:

LOAD OBJECT "jeep.x", 1
DO
YROTATE OBJECT 1, OBJECT ANGLE Y(1) + 0.1
LOOP
END

The model loads and rotates as it should, but the whole model is just black.
I have tried other models with the same result.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Regards

Sounds like the models were separated from their textures. Are the texture files in the same folder as the models?

The textures are in the same folder as the models and the source code.

What format are the texture images? BMP and JPG are good - others may not be compatible with the .X format.

In DBC, you have problems if texture filenames are not DOS 8.3 format and if that's a DirectX restriction it might also be true with DBP too.

I always had black objects until I started texturing objects using the texture object command.

There's something in this room that makes you can't speak well.

Must have had problems with the first couple of models.
Tried some others and they work fine.

Thank you everyone for your help.

DarkMATTER1 has the bug that cannot read texture.
Extension of texture name makes a mistake in it.
