Heya, I built up a quick game recently just to test it out and have fun. I noticed while the stand alone .exe was in a large icon style of viewing files it says right underneath the name of the file "FPSC game" and under that "FPSC Ltd" So I checked how the licenses work on the main site. Here is what is says.

"Will my games have a watermark?

No! The full version of FPS Creator does not have a splash screen. There will be no graphical sign that your game was made with FPS Creator at all. Only the trial version features a splash screen."

I am sorry to say that there is a graphical sign the one right under the name of the .exe also it does show it was made is FPSC by FPSC ltd. Now if I was making a development team (which I am) and if I am publishing my game I do not want it to say anything of the sort. Is there anything I can do to get rid of this and have it say something like this?

Name
something here
My company

Would be appreciated, thank you.

heh sure sorry. here you go. This is actually the FPSC x10 launcher. but you can get an idea of what I am saying. See right under the name of the .exe all the other stuff like "The game creators" same thing when you publish your game except it will say like "FPSC game" and "FPSC ltd"

You should be able to change that in the properties of the icon.

Yea, I tried to run the file in Visual Studio. There I can change all this information with ease. Once I save it though and double click the .exe for the game it stops working. Like nothing comes up at all. Not even an error. I think its because the .exe isn't made in c++ or any other language visual studio cover. Possibly dark basic editor might work?

K, im taking it you have vista or W7 ?

Right click on the icon and go into properties -> Details. Click on remove all details at the bottom of the dialog and you should be able to select all properties so you can remove them

Start Menu -> Run "msconfig" -> Tools, Click Disable UAC then click launch. Restart your pc then try it

It is FPS Creator X10, not X9. You cannot change this within applying some hacks to the exe

Would this be violating their terms? because I was reading more of their website and they do say in many places that the games you make cannot be told that it was made in FPSC. Kinda would like my own company's name to be there. Sad there is no way to get rid of it.

Aye, i found something ace called "Resource hacker". And it doesn't "hack" nowt. It lets you change all the copyright details, icons n' stuff. 'cept it still says FPSC game at the bottom of my computer if i alt+tab out.

Wish i could fix that too.

Crazy Cam10, technically that is a Hack as you are changing the program's bytes.

Either way if the license says there is no trace of TGC, then they are breaking their license. I haven't installed my FPS Creator X10 since I upgraded to Windows 7 so I cannot read it.

However, the website you are referring to is FPS Creator 9 (not 10). You should read the full license and if in the license they say there is no trace then you should take it up with Support http://www.thegamecreators.com/?m=contact_support

Ye, i'm looking for my license now.. wherever the hell it is. And they still have god knows how many unchangeable traces on X9 too.

In a way that's true. Still the only really big difference between the 2 is the direct x. lol... same corporation. Oh well.
