This might sound like a stupid question, but are you taking suggestions for models? Cause i've got some good ones lined up that I don't think you could resist, but if it is a stupid question and your not taking suggestions then never mind. I do like your work and i only ask because I think you could really understand what i'm looking for and could do it pretty good. Also, keep up the good work man, i like the bridge alot, i think its well... Amazing!

Alright, hey BlackFox, I just finished the basic foundation and layout of it, what do you think?

Keep in mind that I'll go over the details (rubble, window frames etc.) later. I'm still working on perfecting the foundation before I move on to the other smaller points.

EDIT: Also, I had to modify the placement of some windows and 'blast holes' to make the model work out well. I hope you won't mind much... I tried

Hope you like it so far...

Any specific questions, suggestions, or add-ons you'd like to make before I continue, BlackFox?

Also, with your permission, I was wondering if you'd mind me selling this model, as I predict it will turn out very well (you'll still receive it without any cost to you; again, it's a way of saying thanks for hosting my media on FPS-Media). This was the model that made me learn new things in AC3D, try new things, and generally get inspired more. Thank you very much

Speechless.

That is amazing. I can't begin to describe how I am always impressed with the work I have seen here, from yourself and others. It looks really, really great. I just had this as a suggestion, but after seeing that, I am just blown away. No add-ons that I can think of.

Feel free to take it and do what you like, please, it would make me happy if you kept it for your own usage. I would like to use it in our "destroyed town" level. Outside of that, it is yours.

Now I have to book LOA from my work to learn to do models

Cheers

Alright, glad you liked it! I'm still working on the rubble, as I've finished all the wall detail and roofing/framing. I had to remove the window frames and door frames as they looked quite... well, crappy. I hope you won't mind.

Sorry, didn't see your post there... Post moderation can be annoying

But, as titled in my first post, I am taking requests. I just have a waiting list, that's all. And I'm glad you enjoy my/our work.

Sorry, yes that was the type of cnc machine I was talking about, but it doesn't need to be as complex
just something like this, without keyboard on side

Thank you, heltor!

Guess what, BlackFox?

...I finished your model. Finally! I've yet to export it to FPSC, but here's the general look. Oh, and I changed the textures up. It won't look like your screenshots, sorry.

I'll e-mail you once it's in FPSC...

Ehm... I'm trying to export it to FPSC, it's givin' me problems. There's texture overlapping on itself, and vertexes are intersecting everywhere. Windows aren't showing up either. I'm trying to fix it. This is so annoying!! ARGH! Darn you, AC3D!

Really? Sorry I didn't post for so long, had a hard time finding the thread again. Oh, and would a church work out if your list isn't already full? It would be nice if the church was swamp-themed, but that isn't necessary. Thanks!

Thanks, but, it's not working out very well...

Eh... I think I messed somethin' up... I don't really know how to do it.

BlackFox, I think I'll have to redo your model. But don't worry! It won't take as long as I figured out a technique to make destroyed buildings. I am dearly sorry. I promise the next one'll be a heck of a lot better.

Yeah... I even got the model in FPSC, yet the vertexes were messed up. Even when I flipped the normals, it messed up even more.

My deepest apologies, BlackFox, yet I believe I've somehow made AC3D crap out. I'll work on it, but I won't be able to work on your model anymore. I'll still try, though. Sorry again...

AC3D... I moved some vertexes around, and it screwed everything. I also did a few subtracts to do the windows.

How about I give you that model that was so screwed up? If you can fix it, somehow, I'll be very grateful. What format should I give it to you in? (.ac, etc.) Also, if you get it in AC3D, it appears huge or else when I export it, it's teeny.

The problem I'm having is not with the AC file, yet with the X file. It's very interesting. Tell me if you need the file.

Thanks,

Looks really really good.

Take your time, breath in, walk away for a few days, weeks, months.

I am not worried, nor in any rush. It was after all a suggestion. If it is driving you crazy, I understand.

KIDDING! I fixed it! I had to triangulate some of the surfaces, but anyways! I fixed it! YAY! I am overjoyed... Can't wait to send you the model.

I haven't worked on the rubble/debris yet and I had to remove the floor as it was causing me some grief, but if you want this model, I'll e-mail you

I feel a lot better now.

The barricades in the screenies below will be uploaded soon

Oh, and thank you for offering generous help, heltor. And I visited your website: Pure greatness!

Enjoy.

Sorry, but this will be the only model that is not free on this thread; however, there will be no more non-free media on this thread. Thank you everyone,

TRIPLE POST! ~Jeez...~

Anyways, BlackFox, I believe I am officially done with your 'house'. I've finished a simple debris model (only one) which can be rotated and moved in certain ways to produce the best effect. Take a look...

I'm a' goin' to bed now. See ya later guys

Cathy and I took a look at your pics and all we could say is "wow" as we were looking at it multiple times and looking at the reference pics, then back to your pics. As Heltor stated, and we agree, you captured the essence of the reference very well. I am very impressed with the skill level that has poured into this. Very nice work. Hopefully you did not age too much on this (lol).

Great! I'm thrilled you like it. No, it didn't age me too much

I edited the texture to be more red-ish like in the screenshots you provided. Take a look... I reckon it looks a tad better.

Hey, BlackFox. Made you some new stuff to go into your level... Some walls matching the ww2 house above, just broken, etc. Could also be used in a modern game with the right theme.

I'll send you a download link soon. I hope you like them.

Great! I hope it'll look well. Say, is the game you're making going to be commercial? If so, may I have a free copy or at least beta test it? It seems interesting. Also, if you need retextures of anything, I'll be glad to comply

The Nambu? Toasty Fresh made it a while back. I just retextured it. I use GIMP and AC3D for all my needs.

It's not anywhere You'll have to find it and 'fix' it as the shader was messed up. Go find the Media Collection Database thread and find something like, 'Toasty's free WW2 Gun' or anything like that.
