Hey everyone,

For the past few months I've been "secretly" working on a game only known as Synesthesia. It's a radical sci-fi game with a modern day twist. The game periodically takes the player back in time to the 1950's also, so he may find clues that could lead to his parent's murderer. The full blown story (it's like 6 pages, lol) will be available on the future website, and the future Showcase thread. Don't expect a demo until mid January.

But, for now, enjoy the screenshots.
(Not embedded for those poor 56k people.)

Consider this a taste of the game that is to come.

It looks niiicee! I like your style. But the 3rd screen looked a tad empty. But it had a nice movie poster, so that evens it up. But the last screen looks empty. Maby put some planks showing up from the barrel. That would look great. (got the idea from Rise Of War, by Nikas)

can you say what's so "original" about it? It doesn't look very "original."

I don't see things in there that I've never seen before, there is still some stock media, which stands out btw.

sorry for being so hard on you, I just want to know how you plan to make this good, and not another bioshock tribute.

Ah, first off I'm removing the level that appears "Bioshock-like", because on other sites people are claiming the same thing. The "original" aspect is going for more of a detective approach, not so much a crazy action packed FPS. Not to mention, the originality is obviously exaggerated...I mean it's FPSC we're dealing with here, you gotta sell it somehow!

New screen, depicting a sewer entrance, where I'll hopefully be able to utilize some of bond1's water shaders in December!

Looking great, but the last screen looks a tad empty, try adding more entities in there.

The breaker is behind the pipe, but I see where you're coming from.

EDIT: I have moved it, sorry I moved it already and forgot. Haha

good looking, question, why is the rubble off to the right? If I were you I'd put it near the wall that was broken.. unless it's just garbage strewn about.

How have I gone crazy? If you mean the physical lights themselves appear bright, it's because the lightmap is on, on top of the bloom. But, the atmosphere itself I don't find too bright.

I don't think that's crazy. Normally lights hurt your eyes when you look at them in real life. I think its just realistic.
