It is FULLY animated with mp6 hands, comes with weapon and ammo pickups and
a vweap for the enemies!
Also has a High-quality 1024x1024 texture map!
Purchasers will generally recieve their order in 8 hours or less!

looks really nice GJ but you should make the texture a bit more dark, it's too bright at the moment. Anyway, you did a great job

Could you please post a video of it? Also, the bolt is meant to be on the other side.

It doesn't have enough detail, I think he means.

Heres a vid guys, sorry for the low quality, but I had to compress it to fit it here

NICE! Love the model! The animations are a bit jerky, yet I understand how hard it is to make things like this, so best of luck to you, GJ

They arent Jerky its just that fraps slows things down.
The framerate is only about 17.
Glad you like it though!

But yes, good work! Looks very nice! Rigged to EAI hands, it'd look cool, too.

Looks good Interesting left handed bolt. You might wanna rub some dirt on the texture, pretty clen for combat.

If your not on the edge your taking up to much room!!!!!!!

I don't like the texture. It seems very washed out and low-detail. As for the animation, I would use the left hand for the bolt instead of the right. When the bolt is on the left side of the gun, its usually more convenient to use the left hand. As the model itself, it looks fantastic.

@Coach Shogun 20 I see your point but as far as I know this was a right hand rifle only. Also you don't just twist the bolt, it must be pulled back to extract the old cartridge, and pushed forward to chamber the new cartridge. I like the model but If I'm paying I want more, out of it.

If your not on the edge your taking up to much room!!!!!!!

Heltor I agree, I hadnt thought of that.
I will add that and all who have purchased this already will get a free update.
As for the washed out texture, the quality of the video is low, as already stated.

When you use FRAPS, set it to record at 1/2 size. It will be less choppy that way.

My advice would be to spend another 8-16 hours on it because it looks like a good start but just needs some more lovin'. You're going in the right direction though and once you convert it to proper right-handedness you'll be on the right road.

Charge what you like for it! I only sell things so cheap because because I'm sort of a doofus. If the dollar keeps dropping I'll have to smarten up though.

Best of luck with this. There's a thirst for WWII guns out there, so if you keep it up and keep improving there should be good rewards at the end of the line.

You should check some metal tutorials and make some realistic metal, add some scratches to it.Otherwise it looks great so far.

Looks good for a stat.
Make the animations slower and the textures more detailed still look a bit stretched.
I think u used something from the mas36's bullet texture.
Is that legal?

The new texture looks better, but you can do even better
First, the woodtexture is vertical. It should be horizontal.
Like this:

Ace: no, I did not use anything from any other texture.
The bullets texture is from a picture of a bullet from my gun.
And the wood texture, I dont see why it should matter whether its vertical or horizontal.
I'm not redoing it unless someone can point out a good reason why it should be horizontal

The grain pattern running along the length of the stock looks more natural than repeating rings down the wood. Manufacturers don't cut against the grain. It would make the gun look better, and the more time and work you put into your product, the more customers will apprecite it

Because if the wood is going vertical that means whoever made it carved/whittled/ or whatever against the grain. This would make the job much much harder and much much longer. Thus wasted effort and wasted time making the money made off of selling the gun lose alot of its value. Its highly impractical to have it like that and I seriously doubt one exists like it. There ya go

EDIT: NOooooo Kraven beat me to it. Drat.

I think it's a smart idea. Your items are at a perfect price; not too cheap so that you won't make money, yet not too expensive so that no one buys it. The prices give you a chance to get more buyers, and more money.

As for you, GJ, could you send me the texture, or at least a screenshot of the wood parts? I want to see if I could maybe help you improve it or give you some tips, maybe?. I love doing wood-ish textures Up to you.

Still can't wait to trade with you once your finished

you said

I'm not redoing it unless someone can point out a good reason why it should be horizontal

i say this

sometimes it takes time to learn certin things, and redoing someting over and over and over agien makes you learn new ways of doing stuff. I KNOW ITS FRUSTRATING,but this is how we all learn my friend. I think it looks good myself but if other see it difrent then try your best to please the public becouse there the ones using the product right? so they want it a certin way then make it that way for them. I said my piece, but remember as time goes by you will know alot more so you can already do this stuff before people say anything.

good model, i like it

I suggest looking at a gun, then understanding how it works before, trying to sell the model "of said gun", just a thought.
From my knowledge there was never a Karabiner 98 Kruz, made left handed, and anyone that has seen combat. Will see this model is needing a rebuild. no one that ever new about a gun would reach across the action, to extract a bolt, The model itself seems fine, but the animation should be scrapped, along with the texture.

My advise know a gun before you model it for sale. this may seem bad C+C but it's the truth.
