Why on earth do some people set their name as one silly question they'll only answer once, which they would find instantly if they used a search?

Look on the FPS Creator website.

Because once you've set your name, ,you cant change it manually. You would know this if you read all the information when you registered.

Export the character with all of his animations, and then seperate the keyframes in its script.

The only real difference in bonds video is export of the model to .x for import into fpsc, and that is in the FPSC tutorial, all the things he covers.... rigging, envelopes, weighting, vertice attachment and so on are covered in the mauals which come with 3dsMax when you purchase it, there are also many tut's on the Autodesk forums covering all of these things.
I still dont get why folks pay such a lot of money for modeling software they have no clue how to use, especially since Max has so many features which go beyond simply modeling and basic animating, in fact you pay for the render engine more than anything else which is no help when it comes to FPSC, its an industry standard software for a reason.
If you buy it and have no clue how to use it you wasted your money.

I agree rolfy, I have used max for years since max5, I have also noticed changes in the user interface, wich can cause confusion, with newer users and tuts. I myself have had some head injuries, that unfortunatly cause , me confusion, on a software I have used for many years. I think any tut is a good tut, share the knowledge.

If your not on the edge your taking up to much room!!!!!!!

The character's .fpe, to be specific.

Would have been nice for you to include that detail in either the title or original post of the thread because what you are needing to know and what you are asking are two wildly different things.

well, to export go here, this tells you step by step on how to export your mesh.

http://www.fpscreator.com/characterstudio.html

edit, make your .x mesh into a.fpe for fpsc, do this with

FPS Creator Entity Maker, get it here.

http://www.fpscreator.com/downloads.html

then, after you export your .x mesh, open the .fpe script in notepad.

the animation numbers are the last list of writen text there. this is where you specify what key frames you had made

If you look at the bottom of any character's .fpe, it has a section which looks like this...

All you do is insert the anim frames into those slots which corresponds to the animation. Such as anim0 is spawn, anim1 is idle, anim2 is walk slow, etc. It's all listed out for you in FPSC manual, the community guide and maybe also the web-page AAAgreen linked to. The export settings are there as well but may take some trial and error because the example export dialogue is an outdated version of panda exporter.
