- Two high-quality low-price models to introduce myself

I recently released a few introductory models to the TGC Store but hadn't had time to make an announcement on the forums, so I am fixing that now.

Construction / Waste Bins:

Cost: 100 Points
Polygons: 726
2048 X 2048 Diffuse

Features:

Comes with two SEPARATE door entities to allow for full control of the doors. Try turning physics on them and blowing them off of the bin! Comes in Rusted Red, Steel Blue, Yellow and Green.

Pump Truck / "Manual Fork-Lifts":

Cost: 100 Points
Polygons: 624
1024x1024 Diffuse, Spec, and Normal Map

These are found all over warehouses and construction sites across the world. They're typically used to move heavy skids (or pallets, depending on where you're from). I should be releasing a set of skids to fit with these pump trucks in the not-so-distant future, but until then Im sure these will work perfectly with any of the stock skids you've already got.

Comes in Red, Yellow and Blue (the three colours you'll usually see a pump truck in).

For more details / screen shots check them out in the store, and expect more models coming your way soon. When I'm not going to college I work in a warehouse, so I've got plenty of reference material to work from .

Very nice, however a 2048 texture is too excessive.

For such a large entity I feel a 2048x2048 map shows a great amount of detail for the amount of screen realestate it will take up. But the texture size can be split down to any other size inside FPSC, or am I wrong? I figure providing the end-user with a high-res version gives them more control over what they can do. If they want to have many bins in a scene then they can split it down to 1024x1024 or less, but if its just one or two bins there shouldn't be an issue.

Hey Ruccus looking great! And yes I agree with you completely - I make high res textures for all my models - if someone wants to resize it for a lower res so be it

Nice work and yes, I agree about the textures. We can always reduce them.
