Newcomers DBPro Corner / DBpro not working

I just downloaded DBpro and everytime I try to run a program it shows a black window for about two seconds then just shuts it down. No matter what I type in it does not work. I have tried using the SYNC commands like in the tutorials but that does not work and I can not even get the tutorials to work when I type in that code. If you can help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance

I'm just guessing here but sometimes new people to Darkbasic try things like printing to the screen but don't have a pause of some kind so they can see anything... it will just flash on and off quickly.
