try changing your sky sphere to draw back facing polygons.

i haven't been able to track down the exact cause of this bug, but it seems to appear/disappear from patch to patch and sometimes this helps it.

it seems to be when you have a plain that is textured with a transparent image that the 'edges' of it, when not backed by a some other form behind it (like your mountains), seem to allow the backdrop to show through.

sometimes this helps:
SET OBJECT CULL ObjectNumber, 0

cheers

is that tree a textured plain?
if it is then make sure you have loaded the image as a bitmap, NOT jpg, load the image into a paint program and paint the "blank" area, then see what happens, I think you may find the blue outline is built into the image, you may have changed from bmp to jpg or altered it in a paint program and used a blurr or smooth function, also make sure you loaded it without the 1 at the end since they altered it IIRC (check the readme) other than that, then congratulations , you have an unknown bug I dont get on my setup

The leaves are a textured plain, BMP for textureing the plain.

I might switch back to patch 4, with 5 Im getting that error.

Just spent last half hour trying to work round this bug but to no avail. If you set filter to 0 in 'set object' the blue halo will go away but you then lose all the smoothing on the texture and will look blocky close up.

I have posted some code in bug forum to register this as proper bug.

How come the problems that arise, have the simplist solutions and they are the ones you try last?

BACKDROP OFF

works fine no error.

I tried that but in my tests I did not like the result. It blends the greens to black and you still get horrid right-angles. You also get wierd trail effects in the problem zones because backdrop if you get up close to them. You probably won't notice on your trees though.

If it works for you, then ok!
